Meet Jake, a Radiologic Technologist who has been assigned to EBCH as a contractor for the past year! One of Jacob’s favorite things about being here is the incredible access to fishing opportunities right in the Ely area. With the Northwoods offering so many ways to enjoy the outdoors, he’s found plenty to appreciate about working and spending time in our community.

Outside of work, Jake loves fishing, hunting, and camping, so it’s no surprise he's enjoyed his time in Ely.

About 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer in her lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society, and regular mammograms remain one of the best tools for catching it early. 🎗️ Talk with your provider about when your next screening should be.

Even though it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Diagnostic Imaging Department at EBCH offers a wide variety of imaging and screenings. One of these scans is bone densitometry, or DEXA scans. DEXA is a screening tool that assesses bone mineral density and estimates your risk of future fracture. Talk to your Primary Care Provider to see whether a DEXA scan is right for you and when it's time to schedule; choose the EBCH Diagnostic Imaging Team for your screening.

Meet Erin, a Radiologic Technologist who has been part of the EBCH team for four years! Erin loves the people she works with and appreciates being part of the Radiology team. Her coworkers make coming to work enjoyable, and she’s grateful to work alongside a team that supports one another while caring for patients.

Outside of EBCH, Erin enjoys a good matcha tea or coffee while getting crafty or painting. Thrifting, hiking, and spending time with her pets are also favorites on Erin's "To Do" list. We’re happy to have Erin as part of the EBCH Radiology family!

Meet Chris, a Radiologic Technologist and Ultrasound Technician who has been part of EBCH for an incredible 35 years! Chris especially loves ultrasound because of the difference she makes in people’s lives. She enjoys building connections with patients and fellow caregivers and believes her work is more than just a job—it’s a career that lets her combine compassion and skill while helping people during some of the most important moments of their lives.

When she’s not at work, Chris enjoys crafting, woodworking, spending time with her family, and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events! We are so fortunate to have Chris on our EBCH Team!

Mammography (Mammo) is a screening and diagnostic tool that uses low-dose X-rays to examine breast tissue for early signs of breast cancer. If you are 40 or older, talk to your Primary Care Provider about when you should start screening for breast cancer, and consider the Diagnostic Imaging Team at EBCH when it is time for your screening.

We are already seeing a lot of seasonal illness at EBCH. Our next FREE community Flu Shot event will be held on October 22, 2026, in Babbitt. Stop by the Babbitt City Council Chambers between 9:00 a.m. and noon to get your shot and help fight the flu!

Meet Brianna, one of our amazing EBCH Radiologic Technologists who has been part of the EBCH team for 11 years! Brianna loves bringing comfort to patients who may be going through a difficult or stressful visit and helping them feel cared for throughout their experience. She appreciates using her skills across different imaging modalities.

Outside of work, Brianna enjoys cooking new recipes, hiking, camping, and traveling. She also loves leading her church’s youth group alongside her husband. One book that is especially meaningful to her is the Bible, which she describes as her life guide. We are thankful that Bri is part of our EBCH Team!
