Earlier this spring, OSF St. Francis Hospital was awarded coveted 5-Star Rating for from the National Rural Rating System (NRRS), a national program designed to highlight outstanding performance among rural and critical access hospitals.

One opioid loss in our community is one too many. 💜 Save lives — carry Narcan.

❌ Myth: “Only drug addicts need Narcan.”
✅ Fact: Overdoses can happen with appropriately prescribed medications. Children may accidently swallow a parent's pill, or someone may forget they have taken their medication and take it again causing an overdose.

Naloxone (Narcan) is a safe medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids, including he**in, fentanyl or prescription medications. You can now access freely available Narcan in our emergency department and medical office building lobby.

Having Narcan on hand is one more way to protect the people you love.
