✨In honor of National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, we want to give a very special thank you to Jenny our Speech Pathologist for the compassion, dedication, and heart she brings to The Meadows on University every single day. Your ability to build meaningful connections while helping our residents regain confidence, independence, and quality of life is truly a gift. The care, patience, and expertise you pour into your work never go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for all that you do and so fortunate to have you as part of our team. You are truly invaluable to The Meadows family! 💙

“My name is Jenny and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Meadows on University. At the Meadows, I am able to help individuals with their cognition, expressive and receptive language, AAC, dysphagia, and voice goals in an effort to gain independence to return home or to provide them the highest quality of life in our facility that they call home!

In this setting, I am so thankful for the ways that I am able to form long-term theraputic relationships with the residents, while also assisting those who are here for rehabilitation to compensate for various difficulties they may be having with their speech/language/cognition/swallowing in an effort to help them to return home with the tools they need to succeed!”

🎙️ Tune-In Tuesday 💙

This week we asked our residents: “What does kindness look like to you?”

The answers were simple, heartfelt, and a beautiful reminder that kindness can mean something different to everyone. From helping others when they need it, to accepting people for who they are, and even the comfort and joy found in traditions like Christmas trees, our residents shared what kindness means through their own experiences and perspectives.

Kindness isn’t always grand gestures — sometimes it’s lending a hand, showing acceptance, creating memories, or simply making someone feel seen. 💕

Thank you to our wonderful residents for sharing your thoughts and reminding us that even the smallest acts of kindness can leave the biggest impact.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends, we remember the true meaning of this day and extend our deepest gratitude to those who served and those we have lost.

💙 A huge thank you to Maple Family Dental for spending time with our residents and sharing your Guatemala Dental Mission experiences with us! We love opportunities to learn, connect, and hear stories from others, and our residents truly enjoyed asking questions and learning about a different part of the world.

We appreciate you taking the time to bring education, conversation, and smiles to The Meadows on University. Thank you for making it such a fun and meaningful experience! 🦷🌎📚

They had so many great questions ranging from Dental Care, Volcanoes, transportation, cuisine, churches, and more! 🌋

🎙️ Tune-In Tuesday is here!

This week we asked our residents: “If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would buy?” 💰✨

The answers brought out dreams both big and small — from a family fishing trip for walleye 🎣, to Vikings football tickets 🏈, candy, Coca-Cola & popcorn 🍿, and even a safe to keep those winnings secure! 😊

It’s always fun hearing the unique answers and wishes that make each person who they are. Thank you to our residents for sharing another round of memories, laughter, and moments that matter with us. 💙

Sunshine, smiles, and ice cream — sounds like a pretty great day to us! 🍦☀️

Our residents had so much fun picking out their favorite treats and spending time together enjoying the beautiful weather. A big thank you to Mark from Ice Cream Team for bringing the truck to us and making the afternoon so special for everyone here at The Meadows. We truly appreciate you helping create such sweet memories! 💕

From rich chocolate cake to peach cobbler ice cream and classic soft serve vanilla, everyone had a delicious favorite to share! 🍑🍦🍫 Sweet moments and simple conversations like these are what make Tuesdays at The Meadows so special.
