It is with profound sadness that we share the death of one of our beloved past presidents, Sandy Mahon. He was a member of The Conference board of directors for 6 years representing Saskatchewan and District 8. He was one of the kindest souls to ever serve and we even trained him to stop pronouncing it Mary-land by the end of his term. Sandy, you will be dearly missed.

Read or listen to the obituary for Alexander Roy Mahon, lovingly remembered by family and friends. Light a candle, share a memory, or leave a message of condolence at Sage Funeral Home in Regina, SK.

📈At The Conference, we believe in transcending the transactional—investing in leadership, collaboration, and the people who move funeral service forward together.

📚 The Conference periodically conducts a nationwide survey to identify the knowledge, skills, and tasks required of today’s funeral directors and embalmers. This ensures that the National Board Examination is a reflection of current practice.
