🌟 Physician Spotlight: Dr. Kael Nahikian 🌟
Dr. Kael Nahikian is a board-certified and fellowship-trained hand and wrist surgeon at Northern Arizona Orthopaedics. He specializes in treating conditions of the hand and wrist, including fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, nerve disorders, and other complex upper extremity conditions, with a focus on restoring function and helping patients return to daily life and activity.
Outside of the operating room, Dr. Nahikian is usually building or creating something. His interests include painting and sculpting, where precision and control mirror the work he does in surgery. Furniture building is another extension of those same disciplines, focused on creating work that is well-crafted, aesthetic, and functional. Engineering projects are also a key interest of his, beginning with a problem and moving through CAD design to a finished fabricated product that solves a practical need. He finds satisfaction in seeing an idea move from concept to a functional object and working through the challenges along the way. He is also an avid road cyclist, enjoys cooking, and values time with his family. Across all these pursuits, the common thread is precision, problem-solving, and creating function, which closely reflects his approach to surgery.
