Jonas Lengacher, age 74, of New Haven, IN passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026. He was born on October 24, 1951, to the late Joseph and Maggie Lengacher.

Jonas was a man of few words, but when he spoke, people listened. He was laid-back by nature, easy to be around, and never met a stranger. With a heart of gold and a genuine kindness toward others, he made friends wherever he went. While he was known for his calm demeanor, those who knew him best also knew he could "lean forward real quick" when the situation called for it.

A devoted husband, father, and granddad, Jonas treasured his family above all else. He shared a loving life with his wife, Rosemary, and enjoyed spending time with her on golf cart rides with their grandchildren. The light of his life was his grandchildren, and some of his happiest moments were spent fishing with them, sharing stories, laughter, and simple lessons about life.

Jonas enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved gardening, caring for his cows, working with tractors and lawn tractors, and spending time outdoors. In his younger years, he enjoyed rabbit hunting and deer hunting. He was an avid fan of professional baseball and college basketball and could often be found watching a game while enjoying the company of family and friends.

Music was another passion of Jonas's life. He especially loved country and bluegrass music, which often served as the soundtrack to his days. He was also known as the family's grill master, particularly when it came to cooking steak and chicken for those he loved.

Jonas had a gift for sharing little tidbits of wisdom and stories from the good old days. One phrase his family will always remember him saying was, "I'm not trying to tell you what to do." Those words, often followed by practical advice and gentle guidance, reflected the humility and wisdom that defined his character.

A faithful member of Central Ministries Church, Jonas lived a life grounded in faith, family, hard work, and love. His legacy of kindness, quiet strength, generosity, and devotion to those he loved will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jonas is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Lengacher; his son, Jonas (Sara) Lengacher Jr.; daughters, Carolyn (Phil) Hilty and Brenda Lengacher; and his beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Karissa, Karsten, Anthony, and Willa. He is also survived by his sisters, Marie Steury and Lucy (Ron) Smith; his brother, Joe (Dena) Lengacher; and his sister-in-law, Martha Lengacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maggie Lengacher, and his brother, Amos Lengacher.

Jonas was the best husband, dad, and granddad, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Christina Marie Eilers, age 57, passed away on June 2, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on October 11, 1968, to the late Barbara Snyder and the late Dennis Eilers in Minnesota. At the age of three, Christina was adopted by Diane Eilers, who survives. Christina grew up in Fort Wayne, attending Southside High School and graduating from Northrop High School in 1987. Her larger-than-life personality and positivity allowed her to brighten any room that she entered, which served her well in her many years of work as a server at several Fort Wayne restaurants.

Roller skating was Christina’s favorite pastime at a young age. However, her adventurous spirit led her to join the circus for a time just after high school. But throughout her life, Christina developed many hobbies and interests. She loved the outdoors, especially the lakes with boating and tubing, and to camp and sit by the fire. She also loved gardening and baking. Christina was a Marilyn Monroe fan, loved singing karaoke, and was also a music fan in general, especially the music of Fleetwood Mac and Madonna. Being fun-spirited, Halloween was her favorite holiday.

Christina is survived by her daughter, Rhiannon Eiler; her daughter, Alexis (Christopher Sutphen) Kelley; and her son, Christopher (Vanessa Doyle) Goff. Christina is also survived by three grandchildren from Rhiannon Eiler: granddaughter, Maria Eilers; granddaughter, Annabelle Eilers; and grandson, Sammy Eilers. A fourth grandchild will soon be born to daughter Alexis. Also surviving are four brothers: Stephen Diss, Timothy Diss, Patrick Diss, and Patrick Snyder, along with three sisters: Jacquie Sager, Gina Madison, and Bobbi Snyder. Christina is also survived by her adopted mother, Diane Eilers, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves behind her beloved Pit Bull, Brooklyn.

Preceding Christina in death were both parents, Barbara Snyder and Dennis Eilers; an aunt, K. Nannette Eilers; and an uncle, Ed Eilers.

A celebration of life will take place at a future date. The obituary will be updated to confirm the date.

Arrangements and care are entrusted to Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7633 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
