💛 Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day❤️

Today, we honor Indigenous peoples, their histories, cultures, resilience, and continued contributions to our communities.

At Bumble Bee Yoga Community, today also gives us an opportunity to recognize our founder, Dr. Lori Williamson, and her Native American heritage.

The heart of BBYC has always been rooted in the belief that wellness should be accessible to everyone. Through yoga, community connection, and a commitment to mental health, her vision continues to create space for people to feel welcomed, supported, and seen.

Today, we celebrate the person behind that vision while recognizing that Indigenous stories, voices, and communities deserve to be honored beyond a single day.

May we continue to lead with respect, listen with intention, and create communities where everyone belongs. 💛🐝

World Mental Health Day is every day at BBYC. 🌍🐝

We prioritize mental wellness by showing up, by opening our doors, by making yoga accessible to every person who needs it. 💛

Mental health is not a luxury or a privilege, it is a human right! Today on World Mental Health Day, we are reminded that the fight for accessible, compassionate care belongs to all of us.

At BBYC we show up for this mission every single day through free classes, trauma-informed yoga, outreach programs, and a studio where every single person who walks through our doors is met with dignity and care. 🌿

To everyone carrying something heavy today, you are not alone. You are seen. You are valued and there is always a place for you here. 🐝💛

Some traditions remind us that love never leaves. 🌼🕯️💛

Our yoga director Arielle | Yoga Teacher | Tips created this stunning dual altar in our studio lobby honoring two beautiful cultures and their sacred traditions of remembrance. During your studio visit, we invite you to take a mindful pause and learn more about these cultural practices and maybe drop a love note while you’re there! 📝 🙏

Alay (ah-LAI) — a Filipino offering of gratitude, remembrance, and prayer — a meaningful tradition that carries love and respect across generations. 🇵🇭

Ofrenda (oh-FREN-dah) — a Mexican tradition during Día de Mu***os where families honor loved ones with flowers, favorite foods, and meaningful objects to keep their memory close. 🌼

Together, these two altars sit side by side in our lobby as a reminder that across every culture and tradition, the language of love and remembrance is universal. 💛

At BBYC, we believe the mat is a place of healing for every body and every background. This altar is an extension of that belief and a space to pause, reflect, and honor those who came before us. 🐝

Come visit us and take a moment at the altar. Someone you love is remembered here. 🕯️💛

Meet new CYTTS graduate Nerissa James.

Nerissa came to yoga with the goal of remaining independently mobile through every stage of life and
stayed after discovering more of her own mental and physical strength. Her favorite pose is Reverse
Warrior for the satisfying length and relief it creates, and she carries the lesson that there is no
perfection to achieve in the practice.

Join Nerissa during our free Sunday 1 PM Community Class rotation for a non-heated (80 degrees)
