Meet Kaylee 💙

Kaylee works with children and teens ages 4–18, using creative and play-based approaches to help kids feel comfortable, engaged, and supported throughout the therapeutic process.

She supports children navigating emotional regulation challenges, anxiety, ADHD, autism, coping skills, trauma, and high-conflict environments — incorporating approaches like EMDR, sandtray, art, movement, games, and imaginative play to help children explore and express themselves in safe and meaningful ways.

Outside of therapy, Kaylee enjoys mindfulness walks, beach days, spending time outdoors, and lots of iced coffee ☀️

There’s so much pressure to constantly be productive, available, connected, and moving.

Sometimes the most helpful thing you can do for yourself is pause long enough to notice what you need.

A few quiet moments can make more of a difference than we realize.

Regulation is not something we magically access in moments of stress — it’s something we practice in moments of safety. 🌿

In our latest May blog, Kaylee shares how mindfulness and co-regulation can help children and adults build the skills needed to slow the nervous system down and reconnect with the present moment. From grounding exercises to mindful walking and box breathing, these practices remind us that regulation begins with the breath. 💭
Small moments of practice can create meaningful change over time.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💙
This month, we’re focusing on the small moments that help us slow down, reconnect, and reset — even in the middle of busy schedules, stress, and everyday life.

Sometimes mindfulness looks like stepping away for a moment, listening to the waves, taking a breath, and allowing yourself to simply be where you are.

Small moments still matter.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this month we’re focusing on the small moments that help us slow down, reconnect, and regulate 🌿
Our newest blog post by Kaylee Krietz, LGPC, explores the power of mindfulness, grounding, and co-regulation — especially for children, teens, and anyone navigating stress or overwhelm.

Inside the blog, Kaylee shares:
💭 Why nervous system regulation matters
🌱 The science behind fight, flight, and freeze
🫶 Simple mindfulness strategies you can practice daily
☀️ Grounding exercises like 5-4-3-2-1, box breathing, and mindful walking

One of Kaylee’s favorite reminders:
“Control the breathing, and regulation will follow.”
Mindfulness doesn’t have to be perfect or complicated. Sometimes healing starts with one slow breath and one safe moment at a time. 🌼
