The marketing says "we are here to support you."

The fine print says "we are not a therapist, do not blame us."

In her conversation with Delegate Lily Qi, Rachel breaks down exactly why so many AI mental health apps are a problem: they present themselves as counselors until something goes wrong, and then they are not responsible for anything.

That is not support. That is a liability disclaimer dressed up as care.

Maryland General Assembly Delegate Lily Qi explains that the bill she introduced required disclosure: that the AI system you are talking to is not a certified or licensed human professional.

Because chatbots are designed to encourage you, stroke your ego, and make you feel good about your ideas, even when you are on the wrong path.

That is not therapy. And people deserve to know the difference before they fall into the trap.

What if burnout on your team is actually a brain design problem?

This week Rachel speaks with Dr. Lisa Riegel, creator of the NeuroWell Framework, about why most organizational change efforts fail and what leaders can do differently when they understand how the brain actually works.

PsiAN wrote a letter of concern to the American Psychological Association. Talkspace responded with a $40 million lawsuit.

In this clip, Dr. Linda Michaels of the Psychotherapy Action Network describes one of the most defining moments in PsiAN's history. The lawsuit alleged defamation and libel, and was a terrifying experience by her own account. Their attorney took the case pro bono, seeing it clearly as a First Amendment free speech issue and an attempt by a large company to bully a professional organization into silence. They did not back down.

The research says otherwise.

In this clip, Dr. Linda Michaels of the Psychotherapy Action Network shares findings from a survey of nearly 700 therapists. Half said they made more money. Half said they made the same or less. And beyond the finances, therapists become 1099 contractors who lose access to their own patient data if they leave — with virtually no transparency on who actually owns the company they are working for.
