Now Accepting New Clients for September 2026! 🗓️❣️

Kindred Tweens is a therapy group for neurodivergent kids age 10-13 of all genders and identities.

🌳🤲🏽 In this group, members will feel safe, connected, and supported. Middle schoolers will build skills in emotional self-awareness, peer friendships, and coping.

🤲🏽❤️‍🩹 Through expressive arts techniques, a parallel process will take place where group members will learn coping strategies to utilize when feeling angry, stressed, or anxious in relation to self or others.

🧠🎨 Mindfulness, expressive arts and brain based group therapies will facilitate the ongoing social emotional learning of each member.

Kindred Chosen is a therapy group for teens 14-18 who are looking for a safe place to feel heard, understood, and supported in their mental health and LGBTQ+ identity. 🏳️‍🌈🌳🏳️‍⚧️🌳

This group is inspired by the need to help adolescents who feel ‘different’ feel a sense of belonging. In this group, kindred teens with differing sexual orientations and gender identities choose to be themselves and grow in who they are. They will gain expert guidance in navigating mental health struggles like trauma, anxiety, peer issues, and other life stressors, while also feeling safe to show up as they are. 🤲🏻🌳🩵

The Kindred Tree Healing Center team, aka the “tree’ple,” can all be found close to nature when we’re not in the office seeing clients! Inclusivity is only possible if we’re making space for everyone. We may disagree with others and share very different perspectives, but if we stay true to our values as community builders, then we are inviting those with whom we disagree to sit together and learn from each other. 🤲🏽🩵🌳

Note: we do not make space for active harm or abuse. Those with the capacity to discern between discomfort and abuse step in as helpers to keep the table as safe as possible. 🧿🧿🧿

What do we mean when we say we are “building longer tables”? We’re talking about giving intentional energy to the collective good rather than what’s good for the individual.

This takes practice, un-learning, and knowing that things can be okay even when discomfort is present. In the long run, it’s a more sustainable way of living in relationship to one another, and the planet.
