Our residents came together to create a beautiful Kindness Bouquet, with each handmade flower featuring a special message of encouragement and kindness. 🌸 Using pipe cleaners, cardstock, and floral gems, they created flowers to share with others in our local community.

We then loaded up the van and headed to a nearby ice cream parlor to surprise customers with these special flowers. One recipient was especially touched by the kind gesture and shared how much she needed that message that day.

Another sweet surprise came when we discovered that a family at the ice cream shop already knew one of our residents! What a small world!

After spreading kindness, our residents enjoyed some ice cream of their own. It was a beautiful afternoon of giving, connection, and community outreach! 🍦

✨ Resident Spotlight: Skip ✨

Skip has been part of The Blake community for five years and enjoys the cleanliness of the community most of all.

He shares his home with his beloved Alaskan Husky, Ati, pronounced “ah tie.” Skip lived and worked in Alaska for many years, and Ati is also from Alaska, making his four-legged companion extra special.

When asked what advice he would give to others, Skip kept it simple: “Get a pet!” 🐾

We’re grateful to have Skip as part of The Blake family and love the companionship and joy Ati brings to our community too!

Our August Concert featured live music by Bobby Ohler! 🎶 Residents enjoyed a relaxing summer afternoon with great music, delicious food prepared by our chef, and wonderful conversation. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon together!
