Mindful Solutions Counseling and Educational Consulting

Mindful Solutions Counseling and Educational Consulting Providing individual, couples and family counseling. I also provide educational consultation to families based upon my experience in the school setting.

Every day life presents us with challenges. It is easy to look for an immediate solution or completely give in to our doubts about our ability to make positive change in our lives. Solutions without mindful thinking can at times encourage us to feel there is no hope, keeping us stuck in old behavior patterns and routines. Let me assist on the journey of exploring the possibilities in your present

situation. Using an integrative approach, my goal is to help you to discover your INNER STRENGTH, RESOURCES, and RESOURCEFULNESS that currently resides within inside of you. Every individual has value and worth. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand your assets, the larger system of which you are a part, and resources within yourself and the community. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will discover strengths that can assist you in altering current behaviors and lifestyles that no longer work for you or your family. Today you are one step closer on the journey toward solutions that are designed intentionally for you. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Please call or email me for an individual, couples, parenting, family therapy or educational consultation today. Treatment specialization includes:

Therapy for Depression and Anxiety
Couples Counseling
Family Counseling
Parenting Support
Educational Consultation (Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disturbance, 504 Services, Special Education Services)

I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues using an integrative treatment approach to provide services that span from therapy for individual, family and couples to parenting support. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. In addition , I provide educational consultations that assist parents in understanding the educational process for children with disabling conditions (ED, LD, AU, etc.). In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for.

Jung believed that our earliest passions can offer meaningful clues about who we are and what brings us alive.

What activity made time disappear for you as a child? Was it reading, drawing, building, exploring outdoors, making music, or something else entirely?

Share your answer in the comments. We'd love to hear what first sparked your curiosity and joy.

Many people believe they need to stop feeling sadness, anger, fear, or disappointment.

But Buddhism teaches something different.

Suffering is not created by emotions themselves. It is created when we cling to them, deny them, or let them control our actions.

Emotions are like passing weather. They arise, they stay for a while, and they pass. Our task is not to fight the storm, but to observe it with awareness.

1. Pause

Before reacting, stop for a moment.

Create a little space between what you feel and what you do. That single pause can prevent words you'll regret and decisions you'll wish you could take back.

2. Name It

Ask yourself, "What am I really feeling?"

Is it anger... or hurt?
Fear... or uncertainty?
Loneliness... or rejection?

When you name an emotion, it begins to lose its power over you.

3. Feel It

Don't suppress your feelings, and don't judge yourself for having them.

Allow yourself to experience them without becoming them.

You are not your anger.
You are not your anxiety.
You are the awareness that notices them.

4. Ask Why

Every strong emotion is trying to teach you something.

What expectation was not met?
What fear was triggered?
What attachment is causing this suffering?

Understanding the root is where healing begins.

5. Release

Take a deep breath.
Write in a journal.
Talk to someone you trust.
Meditate.
Spend time in nature.

Healing happens when emotions are expressed in healthy ways instead of being carried for years.

6. Shift

Once you've learned the lesson, don't keep replaying the pain.

Redirect your energy toward something that brings peace, kindness, growth, or purpose.

The past cannot be changed, but this moment can.

The Buddha taught that awareness transforms suffering into wisdom.

Your feelings are not your enemies.

They are visitors.

Welcome them with compassion, learn what they came to teach, and let them go when it's time.

That is how peace begins. 🙏
