That first cry after birth is more than just an emotional moment — it’s a powerful physiological transition. 🤍

✨ Baby’s first cry helps:
• Expand and open the lungs with air
• Push remaining fluid out of the airways
• Increase oxygen flow through the body
• Shift circulation from life inside the womb to life earthside
• Stimulate alertness and reflexes

Inside the womb, baby receives oxygen through the placenta. After birth, that first breath and cry help activate the lungs and begin independent breathing.
