You don’t want closure from your ex.

You want to feel like you mattered.

Like you were enough.
Like you were chosen.

But closure isn’t getting them to give you certainty.

It’s learning how to stop needing it from them.

Because if your worth still depends on their validation, the relationship isn’t really over.

Men don’t ghost because you’re not enough. They ghost because intimacy lights up the same brain regions as physical pain. Their nervous system checks out before you ever had a chance. The real power move? Testing early for consistency, then deciding if he is safe for your nervous system.

Calm is not the absence of chemistry. It’s the absence of cortisol.

If a regulated person feels boring to you, that’s not a compatibility verdict — it’s a nervous system that learned to equate tension with love. Your body is scanning for familiar, not for healthy. And for a while, those two things will not be the same. Secure won’t announce itself with a spark. It’ll show up as your shoulders finally dropping.

Follow if you’re done mistaking peace for boredom.

You don’t have an attachment style. You have a baseline — and a baseline can be revised.

Attachment isn’t a personality box you got sorted into for life. It’s a set of patterns your nervous system learned, mostly in childhood — and adult relationships, life events, and healing keep editing that template. Different people activate different sides of you. Even avoidant. Even disorganized. The patterns shaped by experience can be reshaped by experience.

Comment 63 if you’re ready to stop identifying with the wound and start revising it.
