One of the reasons I became a therapist is because I believe healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and supported—not judged.

Kids don’t learn emotions by talking…

They learn through stories.
Through play.

Through seeing themselves in characters first—before they’re ready to say, “that’s me.”

That’s why I love using books like this in my work.

It takes the pressure off and creates a safe way for kids to explore big feelings without shutting down.

And honestly? This isn’t just for therapy.
Parents, teachers, caregivers—you can do this in everyday moments.

I’ll be sharing simple, real-life ways to use books + play to support emotional growth (without forcing conversations) at my upcoming conference session

If you’re attending, come sit in on my talk

If you’re not, follow along—I’ll be sharing more tips like this here

Your inner child doesn’t need perfection.

They need moments like this.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected, this is your reminder to go find something that feels like play again.

Burnout doesn’t start with exhaustion.

It starts with small moments you ignore.

Most people don’t pause to ask the right questions until they’re already overwhelmed.

Take a second and be honest with yourself.

Which one hit?

DM “RESET” if you’re ready to work on boundaries and burnout

You don’t wake up burned out overnight.

It builds slowly…

Every time you say “it’s fine” when it’s not.

Every time you over-explain instead of just saying no.

Burnout isn’t just exhaustion.
It’s overwhelm, irritability, numbness, brain fog, and that constant feeling of “I can’t keep doing this.”

And most of the time?

It’s a boundary problem.

You don’t need to do more.
You need to protect your time, your energy, and your space.

Start small:

• Say no without explaining

• Leave when you said you would

• Stop taking on what isn’t yours

That’s how you begin to come back to yourself.

If this hit… it’s probably time to reset your boundaries.

Teachers are overwhelmed…

not because they don’t care,
but because they’re expected to manage behavior without the right tools.

In my workshops, we don’t just talk about behavior, we break it down in a way that actually makes sense in real classrooms:

- Behavior = communication

- Regulate first, then respond

- Simple tools teachers can use the next day

Now booking Fall PD & school trainings

If you’re a:

• School counselor

• Principal or admin

Spent time with 18 kindergarteners and let me tell you, they don’t need more discipline, they need regulation tools.

We practiced:

- breathing (yes, bubbles work)
- movement breaks
- coloring to calm the body
- simple tools like visual timers and fidget tools
- reading about our magical brain and feelings

And the shift?

Immediate.

Because when kids feel calm and safe, they’re actually able to listen, learn, and connect.

If you’re a parent, teacher, or school counselor, these are the exact kinds of tools I bring into classrooms and trainings.

And yes, they’re simple on purpose.
