Here's who the Glassifier is actually for — and who we'll send elsewhere.

For you: skin that looks more tired than you do. Texture, pores, and tone that read older than they should. You want the glass-skin result without a needle. You have an event and four days, not four weeks.

We'll ask you to wait: an active breakout, open skin, a cold sore, eczema in the area; a peel, resurfacing, or microneedling in the last few weeks; sensitivity to sponge, marine, or shellfish products; pregnancy or nursing; isotretinoin.

Long-term skin health is quieter than a transformation.

It's the barrier you didn't strip this week. The SPF you wore on the cloudy day. The treatment you spaced properly instead of stacking. None of it photographs well on its own, and all of it is why the results you do photograph hold.

Somewhere along the way, "refreshed" started meaning "add more filler."

But faces don't age in one layer. Four things change at once: skin quality, facial muscle tone, the position of the fat pads, and the bone underneath them. Trying to solve all four with a syringe produces a result that reads less like rejuvenation and more like product — and everyone can tell, including the person in the mirror.

The most interesting thing in skincare right now didn't start in a beauty lab.

It started in cardiac regenerative medicine, where Mayo Clinic physician-scientists spent two decades working on how the body repairs itself. Platelet-derived exosomes were the part that turned out to be remarkably good for skin.

Exosomes are the body's own messengers — nanoparticles that carry instructions between cells. It also has three days of small rules, and they're what decide your result, because that's the window your skin is doing the work.

Day of: a lukewarm rinse before bed. No cleansers. No makeup. Let it be.
Day one onward: normal cleansing returns; light makeup is fine.
All week: moisturizer and mineral sunscreen, every day, no negotiation.
Skip for three days: heat, sauna, hard workouts, retinol, vitamin C, acids, exfoliants.
