How to Identify Signs of Autism in a Toddler
Every child develops at their own pace, but some signs may be worth discussing with your child’s doctor.
Parents can keep an eye out for things like:
🗣️ Delays in communication or speech
👀 Limited eye contact or social interaction
🧩 Differences in play or repetitive play
🔄 Difficulty with changes or transitions
🌈 Sensory differences
🔁 Repetitive movements or behaviors
📉 Loss of skills they previously had
If you have concerns about your child’s development, talk with your pediatrician or a qualified professional about an autism evaluation.
ABLE does not provide autism evaluations or diagnoses, but once a child has a diagnosis, we provide individualized ABA therapy to help children build communication, social, daily living, and independence skills.
