Myofunctional therapy isn’t about quick fixes, it’s about creating lasting change.

While many people think myofunctional therapy is simply a series of exercises, the real goal is to retrain functional patterns that impact breathing, oral rest posture, swallowing, speech, sleep, and overall oral development.

For some, therapy is just one piece of the puzzle. Additional support from dentists, ENTs, expansion providers, or other specialists may also be recommended as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

At KTS, we focus on long-term outcomes through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, because our goal isn’t simply symptom management. It’s helping children develop healthy patterns that last.

💬 Curious if myofunctional therapy could benefit your you or your child?

Tired of temporary fixes for your TMJ? There may be another path.

While symptom management has its place, our 4-week integrated TMJ program is designed to address the root cause, not just provide short-term relief. And it’s the only program of its kind in Kentucky, combining multiple specialties under one roof for a truly collaborative approach.

If you’ve been looking for a more comprehensive approach, we’d love to talk with you.

Tongue tie releases are important, but they’re often not the first step.

A release addresses the tissue, but therapy helps prepare the muscles and movement patterns needed for better long-term outcomes. Without that preparation, many individuals may continue compensatory patterns even after release.

At KTS, we guide families through every phase, from evaluation and preparation to healing and integration, so families feel supported every step of the way.

Does your child breathe through their mouth, snore, or have restless sleep? These can be signs of a orofacial myofunctional issue, and myofunctional therapy can help.

Myofunctional therapy helps children:
👅 Strengthen tongue, lip, and jaw muscles
😴 Improve breathing and sleep quality
🦷 Support healthy oral and facial development
🗣️ Enhance speech clarity and confidence

Small changes in how your child breathes and swallows can make a big difference in how they sleep, focus, and feel every day.

Summer can be one of the best times to support your teen’s mental health!

Without the daily pressure of school, many teens finally have the space to slow down, process emotions, build coping skills, and prepare for upcoming transitions with more confidence.

Whether your teen is navigating the move from middle to high school, social stress, anxiety, emotional regulation, or major life changes, counseling can help them feel more supported and better equipped going into the next school year.

🚨Telehealth options available!🚨
If you’re interested in scheduling for the summer, visit call (859)-203-4878 to set up a consult call directly with our counselor!

Today we’re celebrating the clinicians who help children find their voices, build confidence, strengthen feeding skills, and support communication in so many meaningful ways.

We are so grateful for the compassion, knowledge, and dedication our SLPs bring to the families we serve, and for the difference they make in children’s lives every day!
