Today, we were honored to present our big check to the American Cancer Society! 💙

Over the past few months, our STAR clinics across Tennessee and Arkansas came together to raise money through creative fundraisers that brought our teams, patients, and communities together to support a great cause.

Together, we raised $29,859.32 to support the fight against cancer! These funds will support the American Cancer Society's mission to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

Thank you to our STAR teams for putting their hearts into this effort and to everyone who donated, participated, and helped us make a difference in the fight against cancer! 🎗️

Our Springfield clinic collected donations for the American Cancer Society with a fun team competition! 🎗️

Patients donated coins into water bottles, one for each team member. At the end, the team members with the most money in their bottles got a little... wet! 💦😂

Thank you to all our amazing patients and community members who donated, supported this effort, and helped us raise money for such a meaningful cause! 💙

What does it mean to practice what you preach? Sometimes, it means getting out of bed at 5 AM to train for a marathon. 🏃‍♂️

When Mark Mahan got his PT license and started working at our Clarksville North clinic, he told himself, “Life is never going to slow down from here, and I want to prove that I can still do hard things as a full-time physical therapist.”

So, he found a marathon and went for it.

After months of balancing work with early-morning training, Mark took on the 7 Bridges Marathon in Chattanooga this weekend and crossed the finish line. We’re proud of the dedication, discipline, and determination it took to get there!

At STAR, we believe in practicing what we preach and challenging ourselves to keep moving forward. Mark definitely put that into action. 💙

STAR is proud to provide athletic training coverage for Ezell-Harding Christian School. Emily Blomquist, our athletic trainer, is on the sidelines supporting the Eagles and caring for their athletes all season long. She teams up with Ken Burns, PA-C, at TOA to keep the team ready for game night. 💙

Goodpasture Christian School and Battle Ground Academy competed in the 2026 TSSAA Division II-A Girls Volleyball State Championship, with Goodpasture winning the state title. Congratulations to both teams on outstanding seasons! 👏

It was great to be back at Belmont University this afternoon! 💙

Kathy Vaughn and Matthew Ingram from our Marketing Team spent time with third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy students during their Management Course on Marketing Physical Therapy.

We enjoyed sharing real-world insights on developing marketing plans, budgeting, building awareness, and communicating the value of physical therapy.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to help prepare the next generation of clinicians and share more about the business and marketing side of the profession. Thank you to Belmont University School of Physical Therapy - DPT for having us back!

Jason Sanders spoke with exercise science students at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) this week, sharing his experiences as an athletic trainer at Coffee County Central High School and his journey through physical therapy school at South College.

Jason is an MTSU Athletic Training alum and now works at our Manchester Clinic. After the discussion, the students got hands-on as Jason demonstrated several athletic taping techniques.

David Northcutt recently completed his physical therapy at STAR Physical Therapy in Lexington following a total knee replacement, and we’re excited to see him back at work and doing the things he loves!

Congratulations to Allan, who officially graduated from STAR Physical Therapy in Lexington after rehabbing from a total knee replacement!

Allan is a BIG Alabama fan and often ends his therapy sessions with a “Roll Tide!”
But with a clinic full of Tennessee Vols fans, you know our team couldn’t let him graduate without getting him back one last time. 🍊

At STAR, our patients quickly become like family. We pride ourselves on providing individualized care that goes beyond the treatment plan — getting to know our patients, celebrating their progress, encouraging them through the hard days, and having a little fun along the way.

Sarah Weatherly completed her summer internship at STAR Physical Therapy - Lexington. She has been a great asset to our patients and staff, and we have loved having her this summer. Next week, she moves to Oxford to start college at Ole Miss with the plan to become a physical therapist. We are so excited for her!
