The New Home Modification Information Network
https://hmin.homemods.org/
Home modifications can help people remain safe and independent in their homes and communities, but finding reliable information about home modification services and resources can be challenging.

Recently updated with support from ACL, the Home Modification Information Network (HMIN) is a free online resource for individuals, caregivers, professionals, organizations, and others seeking information on home modifications. HMIN brings together information about programs, funding opportunities, service providers, and other resources available at the local, state, and national levels.

Users can search by the type of assistance they need and enter a ZIP code to find relevant resources in their area.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and this year's theme says it simply: Celebrating Value and Talent.
People with disabilities have always been part of America's workforce. But in 2025, just 22.8% were employed. That gap isn't about talent. It's about barriers, and many of them are ones we can remove together.
In National Disability Institutes (NDI) new blog post, we share:
Where NDEAM came from and why this year's theme matters
How Ticket to Work and the American Dream Employment Network help people who receive SSDI or SSI work without going it alone
What the new ABLE account age expansion means for saving what you earn
Simple ways employers, job seekers and allies can take part this month.

National Disability Institute builds a better financial future for people with disabilities. Read our post, " Value, Talent and a Paycheck That Builds a Future: What NDEAM 2026 Asks of All of Us ."
