Central Kentucky Riding for Hope (CKRH) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to improving the quality of life and health of children and adults with special physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs through therapeutic activities with horses. Equine assisted activities and therapies provide independence, achievement and community to the individuals that we serve.

Central Kentucky Riding for Hope is extremely grateful and honored to be a 2026 Grantee of the Thoroughbred Charities of America. We love our Thoroughbreds, whether they are assisting in lessons and volunteer orientations like Walton or hamming it up in their pasture between lessons like Appealing Alex and Courage; CKRH would not be the same without these wonderful horses. Thank you to the TCA for their continued, generous support to help us support the second, or third, careers of our Thoroughbreds.

At CKRH, our Equine Therapists come in all shapes and sizes. From big boy Blu to sweet little Merrylegs, we are forever grateful to these horses for showing everyone the healing power of Equine-Assisted Services on a daily basis. Their demeanors and personalities provide smiles to everyone from participants to volunteers to staff. Do you think you have a horse that might excel in this rewarding career? We're excited to host a CTRI Skills Clinic on April 2-4, 2027! This clinic is for anyone interested in becoming a CTRI, currently becoming a CTRI, or instructors who want to earn CEUs while brushing up on their skills! This clinic is not required for certification, but is encouraged!
Registration must be done through PATH Intl. Registration, https://pathintl.org/events/path-intl-ctri-skills-clinic-april-2-4-2027/ and is open through March 3, 2027; spots are limited! Check out the event page for all the details.
