I been having conversations about the personal and cultural impact of GLP-1 propaganda with friends, colleagues, and clients for a loooooong while and it’s time to bring these conversations to light. I don’t know a single fat person who’s not impacted by this s**t, so I figured the least I could do is share what’s been helping me. A spoonful of tune out, a hefty helping of logic, and a sprinkle of humor never hurt.

I tried something different with this Rad Fatty post. While I do highlight a rad fatty who is very prominent in my life right now, I also share a bunch about why they're so important to me right now and how this all came about. I guess it's more of a longer personal essay reflecting on sports, injury, and a fat athlete who is not just inspiring me, but hitting me in the feels.

Yes, it's behind a pay wall. Yes, you are supporting a fat, trans, disabled, teeny tiny business person by paying $3 to read this and then immediately cancelling if you don't give a f**k afterwards. My posts are spontaneous, but your ongoing support means a ton.

Sometimes it’s the silly little things that make the very unsilly big things a lot more bearable.

A Silly Little Neurodivergent Tip I Learned by Accident That Actually Helped with Overstimulation in Public

If you’re out and about and you need a calming sensory aid, find your nearest Ross, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, etc. Go straight to the bath section and find the soooooffffftttteessest bath mats. Place two mats so the soft sides are facing each other, or fold one in half. Stack a bunch on top so there’s some weight... Then shove yourself all the f**k up inside for super soft sensory bliss!! This was honestly a spontaneous find, but it was such a game changer on a challenging day that we spent a good chunk of time brainstorming how to craft a bunch of bath mats into a custom sensory cocoon. TBD.

HELLO BEAUTIFUL FAT PEOPLE!! This one’s for our Fat Friday community, whether you’re a regular or you’ve been waiting to join. This month we’re switching things up! Instead of our usual 4th Friday schedule, we’ll be meeting on the 3rd Friday instead. So update your calendars now ‘cause you don’t wanna miss it and we don’t wanna miss you!

PS: I often hear from first timers that they’ve been wanting to come for sooooo long, but they were too nervous or afraid. I promise we don’t bite! In fact, we’re a bunch of friendly weirdos who would hug you through the screen if we could (only with consent, of course).
