We all know that getting enough sleep, eating healthier and getting some exercise are good for us. You have control of what you choose to eat and we can choose movement that fits our lifestyle, but sleep can be tricky. If you ever have difficulty getting to sleep or getting back to sleep, try counting from 300 by 3s backwards. Also, focus on getting in a really relaxed state rather than getting back to sleep. If you lose your count, then start over. If you make it to 1 and still aren't asleep.....start over. ☺️

What should you do when you struggle with motivation? Just do something. Take some type of action, a small first step and motivation will follow. An example might be adding exercise when you just don't feel like it. You might try setting your shoes out the night before and putting them on first thing the next day. Then walk for just 5 minutes. You don't have to feel like it. The feeling often comes after action.

"I know who I am."

A nice thing about getting older is that if you have made fairly good life choices, then you probably know who you are. You know what is important. You know what truly matters because you have perspective. You have a strong sense of self-identity. You know what your core values are. You know your strengths and weaknesses. You have an understanding of your purpose and place in the world. You don't need approval and validation from others. It's a good feeling.
