Today marks the end of an era, it is our last day in the Main Street Depot building in downtown Marquette. We'll be headed to our new location at 1440 West Ridge St. in Marquette and will officially be open for business July 1, 2026.
To make this move happen, our office will be closed Monday and Tuesday next week (June 29th and 30th). We will have our on call doctor services available should you need us for anything emergent. This can be done through the hospital operator by calling 906-449-3000.

Thank you for many great years and memories on Main Street - we are looking forward to many new memories to come in our new home!

The Impact Award is given to someone who has made a significant and lasting impact on the personal and professional character of the resident. Resident’s chose the person who characterized the description. Each recipient was given an engraved coin with a quote from The Prayer of Maimonides, “Should those who are wiser than I wish to improve and instruct me, let my soul gratefully follow their guidance; for vast is the extent of our art.”

Check out this great spotlight on Dr.Shelby Robinson! We are excited to have her join our practice in September of this year. She is currently accepting patients - give the office a call for more information!

SPOTLIGHT - Shelby Robinson, MD
Dr. Robinson is known for being highly organized, knowledgeable, straightforward, and compassionate. Her kindness and authenticity allow her to easily build strong, lasting relationships with patients. She demonstrates confident leadership with both her care team and patients, advocates fiercely for those she serves, and meets patients where they are. She excels at delivering comprehensive, family-centered care and is consistently valued for her thoughtful, practical advice.

Future Plans
After residency, I will be working at South Shore Family Practice in Marquette, MI. I will be practicing full-spectrum Family Medicine including inpatient, outpatient, and obstetrics.

Greatest Residency Experiences
My greatest experience has been getting to work with so many intelligent and kind attendings and residents. I’ve had so many examples of exemplary physicians to learn from that have made me a better physician. My colleagues are some of the most empathetic and supportive people I have known and have made my residency experience positive and memorable in a way that would not have been possible without them.

In honor of Memorial Day our office will be closed today.
We will reopen Tuesday, May 26th at 7:00am. For any emergent matters, please call UPHS operator at 906–449–3000 and ask for the doctor on call for South Shore Family Practice . Messages left on our office answering machine will not be checked until the day we return.

Memorial Day weekend is approaching and our office will be closed Monday, May 25th in observance of this day.

We remind patients that if you need anything while we are closed, we do have a doctor on call 24/7 via the hospital switchboard by calling 906-449-3000.

Reminder that we do ask for 48-72 business hours for responses to messages called into or left our our office answering machine.
