Summer fun is here, but the heat can be tough on our furry friends. A few reminders from your Spring Park Animal Hospital family:

🐕 Pavement test: If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
💧 Hydration station: Fresh water, always — indoors and out
🚗 Never leave pets in parked cars, even “just for a minute”
🌳 Shade + breaks during outdoor playtime
✂ Ask us about summer grooming — some breeds benefit from a trim!

While you’re celebrating with BBQs and fireworks, don’t forget our furry friends might not be as thrilled about the loud booms as we are. A few quick tips:

🐶 Keep pets indoors during fireworks (a back room with white noise works great)
🆔 Double-check that ID tags and microchip info are up to date — more pets go missing on July 4th than any other day of the year
🍖 Skip the BBQ scraps — corn cobs, bones, and fatty foods can mean a not-so-fun trip to see us
🧯 Citronella candles, glow sticks, and sparklers can be toxic if chewed — keep them out of paw’s reach
