Halloween candy is starting to pile up, and that means extra temptation for curious fur babies.
A quick refresher from our team:
🍫Chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats. The darker
the chocolate, the more dangerous it is. Baking chocolate and cocoa powder are especially risky.
Sugar-free candy and gum often contain xylitol, which can cause a dangerous drop in blood sugar and liver failure in dogs.
🍭‹ Wrappers, sticks, and foil can lead to choking or intestinal blockages.
Keep the candy bowl up high, close bedroom doors where stash bags live, and remind trick-or-treaters not to share with the pets!
If your pet gets into chocolate or candy, don't wait for symptoms. Call us right away at 870-425-6201.
Stay safe this spooky season!
