🌿 Exciting Improvements Underway at Greenleaf Memorial Park 🇺🇸

At Greenleaf Memorial Park, we are committed to maintaining a beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming environment for the families we serve. Over the past several weeks, our team has been hard at work enhancing the appearance of the park and making improvements that will benefit visitors for years to come.

Some of the projects completed so far include:
🌳 Removal of overgrown shrubbery at the entrance of the park
🌳 Removal of several trees that needed to be taken down
🌸 Planting new flowers and landscaping enhancements
🚜 Clearing and preparing areas for future beautification efforts

These improvements are being made with our families and visitors in mind, helping to create an even more serene and dignified setting for remembrance and reflection.

If you visit the park in the coming weeks, please know that this is still very much a work in progress. Some areas where shrubbery has been removed may appear unfinished while we wait for grass and new landscaping to become established. We appreciate your patience and understanding as these improvements continue to take shape.

A very special thank you goes to Ray Gaskins and Donald Murphy (Maureen Murphy) for their hard work, dedication, and countless hours invested in this project. Their commitment to Greenleaf Memorial Park and the families we serve is truly appreciated.

We look forward to sharing more updates as this transformation continues and thank you for allowing us the privilege of caring for this special place. ❤️

🌸 A Little Time, A Lot of Care 🌸

This afternoon, after serving families at the funeral home, Brooks and Rex carved out a little time to plant new summer flowers around the Greenleaf Memorial Park sign.

Projects like this are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the park, ensuring it remains a beautiful, peaceful place for families to visit, reflect, and remember their loved ones. Every flower planted and every improvement made is done with the families we serve in mind.

We’re also working on several other beautification and enhancement projects throughout the park, and we’re excited to share more updates in the coming weeks.

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of caring for this special place.

🌺 Stay tuned—there’s much more to come! 🌺

🌿 A Big Thank You to Our Young Helper at Greenleaf Memorial Park! 🌿

Yesterday, we had a very special member of the crew helping with our ongoing beautification project at Greenleaf Memorial Park!

Sullivan, the son of our Family Service Counselor, Nicole Townsend, spent the day outdoors lending a hand as we continue removing overgrown shrubbery and enhancing the beauty of the park. From picking up pinecones to gathering limbs from bushes being trimmed and removed, Sullivan jumped right in and worked alongside the team with an incredible attitude and a smile on his face.

It’s always inspiring to see young people take pride in helping their community, and Sullivan’s enthusiasm made a big impact on everyone around him. He truly enjoyed being outside, getting his hands dirty, and contributing to the project.

👏 Thank you, Sullivan, for your hard work, positive spirit, and willingness to help make Greenleaf Memorial Park even more beautiful. We appreciate you!

Choosing cremation doesn’t mean giving up the comfort of a permanent resting place. At Greenleaf Memorial Park, we offer beautiful options for both in-ground burial and above-ground niche placement for cremated remains.

A permanent place of remembrance gives family and friends a space to reflect, honor, and cherish memories for generations to come.

In the coming weeks, new landscaping and refreshed natural spaces will begin to take shape as we continue caring for this special place with the dignity and respect it deserves.

At Greenleaf Memorial Park, it takes dedicated people behind the scenes to help keep our grounds beautiful, peaceful, and cared for each day.

Today, we’re proud to recognize Dennis Turner for his hard work and dedication over the past year of serving on our team. Dennis is continuing a special family tradition at Greenleaf, following in the footsteps of his dad and uncle who also served here years ago.

Thank you, Dennis, for the pride, care, and commitment you bring to Greenleaf Memorial Park every single day. We’re grateful to have you as part of our Greenleaf family. 🌿

Mother’s Day is filled with moments of love, gratitude, reflection, and remembrance. 💐
At Greenleaf Memorial Park, we are reminded that a mother’s love never truly leaves us. It lives on in the values she taught, the memories she created, and the quiet moments that still bring her close to our hearts.
Today, we honor the mothers who nurtured, guided, and loved with all they had. We also hold space for those who are remembering a mother no longer physically here — knowing that love continues far beyond a lifetime.
As families visit, reflect, and remember today, may the beauty of cherished memories bring comfort and peace.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

This morning felt different.

The sun rose gently over the quiet rows, casting a warm glow across a place that holds so many stories. Each marker, each bouquet of flowers, a reminder of lives once lived, love once shared, and memories that never really fade.

Standing there, it didn’t feel like a place of loss—it felt like a place of connection. The stillness, the soft light, the way the morning wrapped everything in peace… it was almost like a quiet reminder that even in endings, there is beauty.

We don’t always get to hold on to the people we love, but moments like this remind us that their presence lingers—in the light, in the silence, and in the hearts they touched.

Sometimes, all it takes is a sunrise to remember. 🌅

At Greenleaf Memorial Park, we remain committed to the ongoing care and preservation of this sacred place.

We’re excited to share that we have recently reinvested in our grounds with the purchase of two brand new zero-turn lawnmowers, along with several additional pieces of equipment. These upgrades will allow our team to maintain the beauty, dignity, and tranquility that families have come to expect.

Pictured here is our “Junior Grounds Superintendent” Brody Bennett giving one of the new mowers a test run—he gave it his full approval 👍

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Brent Hart of Neuse Power Mowers for his guidance and expertise in helping us select the right equipment for our needs.

This investment reflects our continued dedication to honoring those entrusted to our care, today and for generations to come.
