Understanding the foster care system takes more than reading statistics. Sometimes, it requires stepping into the experience.

Today, we participated in the “What Happens in One Month of Foster Care?” Central Texas Foster Care Simulation.

During the simulation, we took on the roles of children, parents, foster families, caseworkers, and advocates. Working through difficult decisions, unexpected challenges, and the many moving parts of the foster care system gave us a powerful glimpse into what one month in foster care can look and feel like.

The experience reminded us that behind every case are real people who need informed, compassionate, and consistent support.

Thank you to CASA of Central Texas , Gruene United Methodist Church , and SJRC Texas | Belong for bringing this meaningful experience to our community, and to Judge Jessica Devaney for sharing her insight and perspective.

We encourage you to follow CASA of Central Texas to learn more about foster care, the power of advocacy, and how you can help ensure children in our community have someone consistently showing up for them. 💙

☀️ What an incredible morning at the Austin Oaks Hospital Mid-Summer Resource & Social Hangout!

We had such a great time connecting with community members, meeting fellow organizations, and sharing the mental health services available through Living Tree Counseling Center. Events like these remind us how important community partnerships are in expanding access to mental health care.

A huge thank you to the Austin Oaks Business Development team, Travis Lucas and Tivisay Estrada, for the invitation and for the incredible work you do bringing organizations together through events like this. We truly appreciate the opportunity to be a part of it!

We can’t wait for the next one! 💚

What an incredible two days at !

Our Living Tree Counseling Center team had the opportunity to attend two days of learning, connection, and collaboration focused on children’s mental health while also hosting an exhibitor table.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from inspiring presenters, connect with community partners, and strengthen relationships with organizations that are all working toward the same goal: improving the mental health and well-being of children, youth, and families.

A heartfelt thank you to Clarity Child Guidance Center for hosting such an impactful conference. We look forward to applying what we learned and continuing to work alongside others to better serve our community.

Together, we’re creating brighter futures for children and families.

A successful school year starts with more than just school supplies. It starts with a community that invests in its children.

We’re honored to support the Housing Authority of Bexar County and their mission to help students begin the school year prepared and confident. We are grateful to play a small part in making this event possible.
