Take a look at our beautiful center in Brooklyn, NY!

offers Early Intervention service through the NYSEIP and insurance-funded services, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our team specializes in creating a fun, welcoming environment for the littlest of learners!

The Early Intervention Program is a public program funded by New York State, Nassau & Suffolk counties, and the NYC Department of Mental Health, and is for children less than three years of age who have or are suspected of having a developmental delay and/or disability. Eligibility for the EIP can be determined only by State approved evaluators under contract with the municipality.

If a child is found eligible for the EIP, all services are identified in collaboration with the family and must be authorized by the municipality. The municipality will arrange for service providers to deliver services authorized by the municipality. All services under the EIP are provided at no out-of-pocket cost to families, but health insurance may be accessed, without affecting your family’s benefits. For services provided in community settings that require a fee, the parent is responsible for paying those costs.

To access EI services, contact the Nassau County Department of Health at 516-227-8661 or the Suffolk County Department of Health at 631-853-3100 or the Westchester County Department of Health at 914-813-5094. To access EI services within New York City, contact the NYC Help Line at 311.

ACP Early Intervention is an approved provider of Early Intervention services under contract with Nassau County, Suffolk County, Westchester County, and New York City.

When navigating the Autism diagnostic process, your insurance provider might ask you what level of Autism your child has been assessed at. What does this mean?

According to the DSM-5, there are three levels Autism that indicate the potential amount of support your child might need. Level one would be minimal support, like challenges with transitions or making friends. Level two indicates more social challenges even when support is in place and your child might need more substantial help to be comfortable in a setting like school. Finally, level three sees significant social and behavioral challenges that more substantially impact many areas of daily living.

It's important to remember that despite the level your diagnosis might indicate, every child is unique and their future is not yet to be determined. By receiving early intervention therapies, like Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), many children live much more comfortably and confidently no matter the level their diagnosis indicates.

Connecting with a professional is essential to obtaining an accurate diagnosis. Connect with ACP's compassionate Diagnostic team today to learn more. We're here by phone at 800-679-3609 or email at [email protected]!

Cameron Shalkowski, ACP's AVP of Service Delivery sat down with us to explain what this Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) service is and how it's conducted.

ABA is considered the gold standard for Autism therapy, and for many individuals it can have a life-changing impact, allowing them to live life more comfortably and autonomously.

At ACP, we address many skills others may take for granted, like dressing, feeding, brushing your teeth, taking turns in play, and more. By addressing these necessary skills alongside our learners and their families, we're improving capabilities before challenges and harmful behaviors become routine.
