The Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center (PPSC) is a New York City-based psychoanalytic training institute that is multi-theoretical in its approach and commitment to training a diverse student body and making affordable mental health treatment available to the community. Our goal is to graduate psychoanalysts and psychotherapists who represent our unique tradition of diversity, recognition a
nd respect for the individual. In the spirit of what we believe psychoanalysis to be, PPSC is committed to community, curiosity, and collegiality that foster openness to learning from each other. This is the foundation of our training of students and how they work with each patient. On our PPSC page you will see calendar postings from the PPSC Annex, a forum of mental health CEU workshops. Its topics range from Couples and S*x Therapies to Mind-Body-based practices to fresh takes on Psychoanalytic Theory and various Addiction models. We will also post various educational workshops, conferences and offerings from PPSC as well as honor postings from reciprocal psychoanalytic institutes and affiliations. Our staff consists of highly trained licensed psychotherapists who offer a sliding scale based on ability to pay. We offer short or long term psychotherapy as well as psychoanalysis at hours convenient to your schedule. PPSC therapists are LGBT affirmative, antiracist, and culturally sensitive. Fees are set in conjunction with your therapist based on your ability to pay. We accept Aetna, NYU, and Marymount Student insurance plans. Depending on your health insurance, you may be covered for out-of-network services and may be reimbursed by your insurer.
