1 in 3 Medicaid enrollees at risk of losing coverage under the new work requirements report an illness or disability limiting their ability to work, but don't qualify for a formal exemption.

This is who gets caught in the red tape.

Half of working-age Medicaid enrollees face disenrollment under national work requirements, despite having greater functional impairment than those who would comply.

Across the state, New Yorkers are fortunate to live near trails, wetlands, forests, and other outdoor spaces. Spending time in nature is good for your physical and mental wellbeing, and summer's a great time to take advantage of the opportunity.

When you're in nature, watch out for ticks! These are tiny insects found in tall grasses and on wildlife such as deer, birds and mice. This summer, warns that the risk of tick-borne diseases such as Lyme disease is elevated. These diseases can be devastating, so take a few simple steps to protect yourself and stay safe.

✅ When you're in nature, wear long sleeves and pants with tucked-in socks

✅ After walks outside, check pets and children for ticks

✅ If bitten, remove tick(s) with fine tweezers and wash the area with soap and water

✅ Dispose of any ticks by drowning them in alcohol
