This 49-year-old patient came to me wanting to look more rested and refreshed. She was bothered by puffiness under her eyes and heaviness in her upper lids, common concerns that can make you look tired even when you feel great.

I performed upper and lower eyelid surgery, using a transconjunctival approach for the lower lids. This technique allows me to remove or reposition the fat pockets causing under-eye bags without making any external incision on the lower eyelid, meaning no visible scar. The upper lids were addressed with a discreet incision that heals virtually invisible in the natural crease.

One year later, the puffiness is gone, her eyes look brighter and more open, and the result is completely natural. She looks like herself, just more rested and refreshed.

This 17-year-old patient came to me feeling self-conscious about a prominent bump on her nose and a droopy tip that she felt was disproportionate to her petite facial features. She was also having difficulty breathing through her nose due to a deviated septum.

These photos are just three weeks after rhinoplasty and septoplasty, and she's already thrilled with her results. The bump is gone, the tip is refined, her profile is beautifully balanced, and she's breathing so much better. She told us she finally feels confident taking photos and selfies again, which is always wonderful to hear.

When I perform rhinoplasty on younger patients, my approach is always conservative and tailored, working with their natural anatomy to create a result that looks like it belongs on their face, not like it was done.

Can you tell when someone's had work done? Our registered nurse Stephanie shares her perspective, and it really comes down to one word: overdone.

With a facelift, it's that pulled, windblown look that doesn't move naturally. With a blepharoplasty, it's when too much skin has been removed, and the inner lining of the eyelid or too much of the eye itself is exposed. And with rhinoplasty, it's an overly scooped slope or a nose that just looks like too much was taken away.

This is exactly why my philosophy has always been about restraint. The goal of any procedure I perform is a result that looks natural, one that enhances, not announces. The best work is the work nobody can tell you has done.

Ever wonder what actually happens during a rhinoplasty consultation? Here's a look inside my office.

This patient came to me with breathing issues caused by a significantly deviated septum, plus a bump on the bridge he'd been wanting to address. During the consult, I reviewed his CT scan findings, examined the nasal passages, and walked him through exactly what the surgery would correct: straightening the septum, shaving down the bony bump, smoothing the side walls, and narrowing the bridge for a natural-looking result.
