"Not gay enough" is a feeling, not a fact.

Every June, mainstream symbols of Pride flood the city and for a lot of people, those images create a quiet anxiety instead of celebration. Like there's a checklist you haven't finished.

But being gay or q***r was never about fitting a mold. It was always about knowing what you love, who you love, and letting that be enough.
This Pride, skip the performance. Find what actually feels like yours.
🏳️‍🌈 Whether that's the parade, the march, a quiet dinner, or just sitting with yourself, that counts.

Have you ever found yourself turning to ChatGPT or AI for emotional support? You’re definitely not alone. AI can offer comfort, validation, and instant responses. But therapy is more than getting answers; it’s about being deeply understood by another human being.

In this blog, psychotherapist Sam Fogarty explores the difference between AI therapy and a real therapeutic connection, and why human relationships still matter in healing. Read the full blog here: https://mytherapynyc.com/ai-therapy-or-real-therapist/

Anxiety feels like the problem. But it's not.

Anxiety is your nervous system's way of protecting you from feelings you haven't been able to sit with yet, the grief, the anger, the pain. When those feelings get too big, your body switches into panic mode instead. The symptoms are a mask.

So the next time anxiety shows up, try this: pause and ask yourself, what feeling am I actually avoiding right now?

That's where the real work is.

What does struggling with mental health look like in a successful person?
Often: always moving, always planning, never resting. Rarely content with what they have. Joking about feelings instead of naming them. Physically present but emotionally somewhere else. Doing everything right — but on autopilot.

A perfect life on the surface. Survival mode underneath.

Kimia, our Clinical Director, breaks down the signs that often go unnoticed. Save this if it sounds familiar.

Relational exhaustion in women is often misread as anxiety, irritability, or burnout — when the underlying pattern is emotional labor that's been running without acknowledgment or relief for years. This Women's Health Week, that's worth naming.

Every person has some level of unconscious bias. It influences how we see the world and how we treat others. It can create a “blind spot” in our empathy. When we rely on unconscious bias, we may judge people unfairly without even knowing it. In this blog, psychotherapist Michael Kucmeroski explains what bias is and how to overcome it. It looks at how to apply these tools in your workplace and your personal relationships. Understanding your brain and your cognitive bias is the first step toward fostering better relationships.
