K. Nicole Writing, LLC đź’ˇTools for daily mental wellness & self-care K. Nicole Writing, LLC was founded and created by Katrina Leggins.

She is a licensed mental health therapist, self-care educator, and speaker. Katrina believes in order to achieve a happy and fulfilling life one must start by gaining self-awareness, reclaim their confidence and look past their fears. Since her adolescence, she has been passionate about helping individuals who struggle with finding their purpose and enjoys playing an active role in their persona

l journey. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Katrina knew at an early age that her God given purpose was to help people. Growing up, Katrina experienced her own personal struggles of failed relationships, low self-esteem, and even suffered from depression throughout young adulthood. Building a solid foundation on God’s word, personal writing, and tapping into her support system, she learned how valuable her life is and was able to take back control. Writing has been a positive outlet for her since grade school. As Katrina grew older, she started journaling and most recently began sharing the words from those pages realizing that others could not only identify with her but could use her words to heal. Katrina received her BSW and MSW from the University of Oklahoma. She is extremely dedicated to servicing others believing that everyone has the opportunity to change when introduced to the proper tools and has access to a strong support system. Katrina has actively worked in the mental health field for over seven years and enjoys working with children, teens, and young adults from various backgrounds rather it be in a therapeutic setting or working in the community. Katrina not only help individuals with mental illnesses, but personal challenges in life as well. She also has experience working in the educational school system, as well as, community mental health facilities. Through intensive counseling, she works with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and PTSD. As a social worker, Katrina makes sure to work with each client closely aiming to help them find solutions in a diligent way. When she’s not in the office, she loves traveling, writing, working out, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her personal motto is, “Before you can help and inspire others you must be willing to be transparent about your own story”.

Self-care is also knowing when you’ve reached your limit. Not every request, opportunity, or responsibility deserves access to your time and energy.

Sometimes honoring what you realistically have the capacity for is the healthiest decision you can make.

Self-care isn’t just about boundaries, rest, and protecting your peace. It also includes having the relational skills to create healthy connections. If you only reach out when you need something, people notice.

A little warmth, acknowledgment, and basic human connection go a long way, and it can help keep relationships from feeling transactional.

Healing doesn’t always happen after one conversation, one realization, or one good therapy session.

Sometimes you need to tell the story again. Process another layer. Feel something you didn’t have the capacity to feel before.

There’s no deadline for when something should stop hurting.

You’re allowed to take your time with what impacted you. 🤍

One of my greatest joys as a therapist is watching women find their voice again.

Women who come to therapy after heartbreak, divorce, job loss, betrayal, burnout, or some of the hardest seasons of their lives, sometimes unsure of who they are anymore.

Being able to support them as they rebuild their confidence, trust themselves, set boundaries, and use their voice again is something that will never get old.

There’s something special about witnessing a woman come back to herself. 🤎

And for the woman who may be in that season right now: you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I'm excited to share that I've recently opened a few additional spots for September for women interested in working with me through therapy or coaching!

📍Therapy: Available to residents of Oklahoma, Texas, and Florida.
📍1:1 Coaching: Available to all residents.

If you’re ready to rebuild, gain clarity, strengthen your confidence, and move forward more intentionally, I’d love to support you.

👉🏾You can learn more about working with me and connect below. 10-minute consultation calls are available as well at no charge.

Some days, self-care is resting. Other days, it’s getting up and doing the thing you know will make you feel better, even when you really don’t feel like it.

You don’t have to be motivated every day. You just have to keep finding small ways to show up for yourself.

Today, that looked like movement. Tomorrow, it may look completely different. Either way, honoring what you need counts. 🤎

What does showing up for yourself look like lately?

Self-care can be really simple.

Reminder: Find one small way to make taking care of yourself easier this week. 🤎

What’s one part of your wellness routine that you’ve finally learned to stay consistent with?

08/16/2026

Sometimes self-care looks like slowing down, creating space to reset, and being intentional about what you need before jumping into everything the week requires of you.

As you prepare for the week ahead, make sure caring for yourself is part of the plan too. 🤎

What’s one way you’re choosing to care for yourself this week?

Your nervous system deserves a chance to clock out, too. đź’›
