Meet Your Mentor — SEPTEMBER Open Mentorship Office Hours

Join us for Open Mentorship Hours this Wednesday with Lindsey Thompson, PT, DPT, a physical therapist at Swedish Medical Center–Cherry Hill with a passion for neurologic and cardiac critical care.

Lindsey graduated from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA, in 2013 and has been practicing in the ICU since 2019. She currently serves as the APTA Washington Chief Delegate and is an adjunct faculty member at Tufts University–Seattle, where she teaches in the neuro and cardiopulm courses.

With her clinical and teaching experience in critical care, Lindsey brings a wealth of knowledge about the role of physical therapy in the ICU and the recovery process following critical illness.

During mentorship hours, Lindsey will discuss:
• Evidence for early mobility in the ICU
• The ABCDEF model for managing patients in the ICU
• Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS)
• Q&A

Lindsey is passionate about neurologic and cardiac critical care and supporting the next generation of clinicians through education and mentorship. When she is not working or engaging with APTA, she enjoys hiking, photography, and traveling.

Lindsey brings a unique perspective from the ICU, clinical practice, teaching, and professional leadership. Join us for an engaging conversation, practical insights, and an opportunity to ask questions and learn from her experience in critical care physical therapy.
