You made it halfway through 2026.
How is your mind doing, not just your calendar?

If you are exhausted, snappy, or running on autopilot, it is not a personal failure. It is your nervous system saying, “I need a reset.” A mid‑year check-in can be a softer alternative to waiting for full burnout. 🧠🤍

If part of you is thinking, “I cannot keep doing it like this,” learn about counseling support at Blue Sky Counseling Omaha.

Today we remember the service members who died in the line of duty and the families, friends, and communities who continue to carry that loss. 🕊️

One simple way to honor this day is to gently check in with yourself and with the people in your life who have been touched by military service. Asking a simple, “How are you doing today?” can go a long way. ❤️

If this holiday is bringing up more than you expected and you would like a safe place to process it, we are here.

Mental health struggles don't always look like dramatic breakdowns.

More often, they look like:
The Mask: Smiling and saying “I’m fine” while feeling numb or overwhelmed.
The Loop: Lying awake replaying conversations or endless to-do lists.
The Guilt: Feeling like you haven’t "earned" the right to rest.

Mental Health Awareness Month is a time to notice these quieter signs in yourself and those you love. Reaching out for support isn't a sign of weakness, it’s a way of saying, “My wellbeing matters, too.”

🌥️ If you’re ready to find your blue sky again, we’re here to help.

Not all addictions look like bottles or pills.

Sometimes they look like:
🛒 Shopping carts that keep filling up
🍕 Food that feels out of control
📱 Scrolling or gaming until you’re numb

These patterns often start as coping, comfort, or distraction, and over time, they can begin to run the show.

You are not weak for getting stuck there. It usually means you are carrying more than your nervous system can hold alone. At Blue Sky Counseling Omaha, we look beneath the behavior to understand what it’s been doing for you, then help you find kinder, more sustainable ways to cope.

If you’re ready to talk, take that first step and connect with us through our website.

What is your relationship with alcohol: friend, roommate, or boss? 🥂

For some people, alcohol feels like a friendly presence or a roommate who is always there and taking up space. For others, it has quietly become the one calling the shots around sleep, social plans and stress.

can be a good time to ask, “Who is really in charge here? Me, or the habit?”

At Blue Sky Counseling Omaha, we work from a harm reduction lens, which means no labels are required. We simply start where you are and explore what you would like this relationship to look like instead.

Parents of teens: how is your teen really doing as the school year wraps up? 🎓

The late nights, test prep and constant deadlines can quietly chip away at their mood, confidence and sleep. A calm, present adult can make all the difference in how they finish the year emotionally.

We put together ideas for better check ins, healthier routines and knowing when extra support could help.

April Fools is about little lies. Let us talk about the big ones we quietly tell ourselves.

Some of the most painful ‘pranks’ are the lies we repeat in our own minds:
‘I should be over this by now.’
‘Everyone else is coping better than I am.’
‘Needing help means I am weak.’

On April Fools Day, consider this an invitation to gently question those stories. At Blue Sky Counseling Omaha, we work together to notice, challenge, and replace harsh self talk with something more truthful and compassionate.

If you are ready to start untangling those lies and write a kinder story about yourself, visit https://blueskycounselingomaha.com/ and schedule your first appointment.
