We’re proud to share that Big South Fork Medical Center is now offering Echocardiograms right here at home, giving our community access to important heart imaging without the need to travel far.

An Echocardiogram is a safe, non-invasive test that helps providers see how your heart is functioning in real time. For many of our neighbors, having this service close to home means less stress, quicker answers, and care that feels more personal and connected.

If you or someone you love has been referred for an Echocardiogram, we’re here and ready to help. Talk with your provider about whether this test is right for you and know that trusted heart imaging is now available locally, where you’re known and cared for.

Big South Fork Medical Center now offers Low Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening, a safe, low-radiation scan used to help detect lung cancer early, when treatment options are most effective.

This screening may be right for you if you are:
• Between the ages of 50–77
• A current or former smoker
• Have a long history of smoking

Having this service available close to home means one less barrier to taking care of your health. Early detection can truly save lives.

This week, we were proud to participate in the Red Sand Project, joining organizations across our community to raise awareness of human trafficking. ❤️

By pouring red sand into the cracks in our sidewalks, we recognize those who too often "fall through the cracks" and reaffirm our commitment to protecting and supporting the most vulnerable members of our community.

A special thank you to Scott County Sexual Assault Services at SAI for organizing this meaningful initiative and for the important work you do every day to support survivors, educate our community, and raise awareness about human trafficking. ❣️

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Kelly Keisling - State Representative and congressional candidate Van Hilleary to Big South Fork Medical Center and Myrtle Recovery Centers to discuss rural healthcare and substance use treatment in Tennessee. 🏥

We appreciated the opportunity to share both the challenges and opportunities facing rural communities. We are incredibly proud of our dedicated team, who work every day to overcome obstacles and provide high-quality, compassionate care to the patients and communities we serve.
