Meet Murphy Harper, DPT! 👋

Murphy is a physical therapist at our 75th & Metcalf clinic. She became passionate about physical therapy after seeing the impact it can have on helping people improve their daily lives and reach their goals.

She enjoys working with patients to create personalized plans that support their recovery, encourage healthy movement, and help them get back to the activities they enjoy.

Outside of the clinic, Murphy loves staying active outdoors and making the most of sunny days! ☀️

Kansas City Ballet is proud to partner with Performance Rehab, the Company’s exclusive physical therapy provider.

Leading that partnership is Kendra Gage, DPT, OCS, a former dancer whose dance background and clinical work with companies like The Joffrey Ballet and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago make her uniquely suited to guide KCB’s dancers through injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our friend and colleague, Angel Guinand, following a battle with cancer.

Angel was a beloved part of our 151st Street clinic. Her kindness, positivity, and warm presence touched so many of our patients and team members and will be deeply missed.

Did you know that many sports injuries happen without contact?

While collisions and falls can certainly cause injuries, many occur during everyday athletic movements like sprinting, jumping, landing, slowing down, or changing direction. These movements place stress on the muscles, tendons, and joints, especially when the body is fatigued or movement patterns are not working efficiently.

Strength training, proper movement mechanics, and injury prevention strategies can help athletes stay prepared for the demands of their sport.

Meet Travis Loyd, Clinic Director at our Westwood clinic!

Travis’ journey into physical therapy started after experiencing his own sports injuries as a teenager and seeing firsthand the impact of quality rehabilitation. That experience inspired him to pursue a career helping others reach their goals.

A graduate of the University of Saint Mary with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Travis specializes in sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, functional dry needling, and helping patients overcome challenges throughout their recovery.

He enjoys motivating and encouraging his patients to achieve more than they thought possible, while providing personalized care to help them get back to the activities they love.
