CARE is derived from evidence-based, positive parenting programs including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and is geared to parents and caregivers with kids ages 2-12.

First year of school for your kiddo? Once the excitement of kindergarten or a new preschool wears off, children may seem more tired, tearful, clingy, irritable, or resistant in the mornings.

This doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong—it may simply mean they’re working hard to adjust to new routines, expectations of their new class, and time away from home.

Offer extra connection, keep routines predictable and calm, and validate feelings. You can remind them:

“It makes sense to miss home. Your teacher is there to help you, and I know you can handle this.”

Confidence grows when children feel understood—and when the adults they trust believe they can handle hard things. 💛
