🎙️I recently joined the ADHD Mom Docs Podcast for a meaningful conversation about parenting children with ADHD, anxiety, and emotional regulation challenges.

We discussed:

✨ How Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) supports stronger parent-child relationships
✨ Support for children with anxiety and selective mutism
✨ SPACE, a parent-based approach for helping anxious kids
✨ Why finding the right therapist and support system matters

Such an important conversation filled with practical insights and encouragement for families. 💜

🗓Tune in June 9th for my episode of the ADHD Mom Docs Podcast!

Available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and Audible - don’t miss it!

Some of the best memories start
with a little nervous energy.

Your summer camper will make friends,
try cool things, and probably surprise themselves with how brave they are!

Parent-child connection doesn’t have to be complicated.
Most kids aren’t asking for perfection — they’re asking for presence. 💛

Small moments matter more than “perfect” parenting.

Simple ways to connect with your child this week:
☀️ 10 minutes of Special Play Time
☀️ Read together before bed
☀️ Sit outside and eat a snack together
☀️ Let them help with a simple chore
☀️ Put your phone away during one conversation
☀️ Ask: “What was the best part of your day?”
☀️ Have a dance party in the kitchen
☀️ Leave a silly note in their room or lunch
☀️ Color, build, or create side-by-side
☀️ Give specific praise:
“I noticed how kind you were to your brother.”
Connection grows in ordinary moments.
Kids don’t need constant entertainment — they need to feel seen, safe, and important to you. 💛

Behavior is communication.
When kids feel connected, they behave differently.

Special Play Time isn’t “extra”—it’s foundational.

✔️ Prevents behavior challenges
✔️ Strengthens your relationship
✔️ Makes discipline more effective

Start small. Stay consistent. Watch what changes.
