Whewww, the Beautiful Boss Brunch in Oakland felt like a big ol hug 🫂 sister to sister.
Somewhere along the way, we were taught that being a strong woman meant figuring it all out on our own.
Build the business. Make the money. Handle the pressure. Keep going. And whatever you do, don’t let them see you struggle.
But can we normalize being a strong woman who STILL needs support? Who celebrates another woman without feeling threatened. Who shares the lesson, makes the introduction, passes the opportunity, and genuinely wants to see another woman win?
Because sis, your success doesn’t have to come at the expense of another woman’s success.
And you don’t have to build everything alone.
That’s why I keep creating these spaces. 🤎💕
This weekend’s Beautiful Boss Brunch was a reminder that sometimes we don’t need another motivational quote or another business strategy. Sometimes we need to sit across from a woman who gets it. To hear a story that reminds us we’re not alone. To make a connection that turns into a collaboration, a friendship, or even a sisterhood. (Although we definitely talked business & money aswell) 😏
And to every Boss who trusted me enough to be in that room, THANK YOU. You are the reason I keep showing up for this vision, even on the days when the work feels heavy, or I’m second guessing myself.
We are not each other’s competition. We can be each other’s community.
May we be the women who open doors, pull up chairs, share the knowledge, and make room for more of us at the table. 🥂
