⚾️ Big smiles, great company, and a little quality time with Maynard G. Mallard! 🦆✨

Our Pauquette Center team had a fantastic time out at the Madison Mallards baseball game last night! It was the perfect evening to kick back, enjoy some ballpark treats, and enjoy the company of our amazing co-workers outside the office.

As our seed packets say, "Everyone needs help to bloom sometimes"—and a fun team night out is exactly how we recharge so we can keep supporting our community! 🌸💪

For day three of Nurses Week 2026, we are proud to highlight Amanda McConville, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a vital part of our integrated care team at the Pauquette Center.

Amanda brings an incredible depth of expertise to our Madison and Platteville communities. With over 10 years of experience in the nursing field, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health with grace and professionalism.

Why Amanda is a Key Part of the Pauquette Team:
Advanced Clinical Expertise: As an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP), Amanda provides expert psychiatric evaluations and medication management, ensuring our clients receive high-quality, evidence-based care.

A "Whole Person" Approach: Amanda doesn't just treat symptoms; she strives to know her patients as individuals. Her philosophy is built on client-centered treatment, focusing on your specific goals and finding the most effective path toward relief and recovery.

Integrated Care Advocate: Amanda works hand-in-hand with our psychotherapists. She believes that the best outcomes happen when medication management and therapy are seamlessly coordinated—a collaborative model that defines the Pauquette standard.

Compassionate Flexibility: Known for being open-minded and warm, Amanda offers both in-person and telehealth options to ensure that compassionate mental health care is accessible to those who need it most.

"Amanda’s ability to blend clinical precision with a deeply personal, empathetic touch makes her an invaluable asset to our patients. We are so grateful for her leadership and the compassionate care she provides every day."

Happy Nurses Week, Amanda! Thank you for your unwavering commitment to mental health wellness and for all you do to support the well-being of our community.

As we continue our Nurses Week 2026 celebrations, today we are shining a well-deserved spotlight on Angela Gehl, RN.

Angela is a cornerstone of our CSP (Community Support Program) in Portage. When the Pauquette Center proudly brought this program back in January 2024, Angela was instrumental in that transition. Having supported many of her clients since her time with Journey Mental Health, she provided a seamless bridge of care and stability that our community truly needed.

What Makes Angela Exceptional:
Steadfast Continuity: Since becoming a Registered Nurse in 2019, Angela has dedicated herself to the well-being of her clients, maintaining deep-rooted trust within the Portage community.

The "Calm in the Storm": Angela is known for bringing a welcome sense of ease to the office, no matter how busy the day gets.

A Master of Her Craft: Her role requires a unique blend of high-level organizational management and deep empathy—a balance she strikes perfectly every day.

Expert Listener: Angela doesn't just provide medical support; she provides a voice to those she serves, ensuring every individual feels heard and valued.

"Angela’s positive spirit and unwavering expertise enrich our team and the lives of every individual in the CSP program. We are incredibly fortunate to have her on our side."

Happy Nurses Week, Angela! Thank you for your tireless dedication to the Portage community and for being such an invaluable asset to the Pauquette family.

As Nurses Week 2026 kicks off, we want to take a moment to celebrate a true pillar of our team: Gretchen Cavazos, RN.

Gretchen has been a vital part of the Pauquette family since January 2012. While years have passed since she was honored with the prestigious Heart of Healthcare award in 2019—ranking among the top 10 nurses out of over 100 nominations in the Madison area—her impact hasn't shifted a bit.

Why We Celebrate Gretchen:
A Legacy of Excellence: From her recognition by the Wisconsin State Journal to her daily work in our clinics, Gretchen defines what it means to be a "Heart of Healthcare."

The Perfect Balance: She is known for her expert clinical skills, but even more so for her unique ability to bring comfort and laughter to her patients when they need it most.

Dedication: 14 years later, her commitment to our community remains as strong as the day she started.

"Gretchen's presence is a gift to both her colleagues and her patients. We are incredibly lucky to have her continued compassion and leadership at Pauquette."

Happy Nurses Week, Gretchen! Thank you for everything you do. We look forward to many more years of your exceptional care.
