Meet the Team: Deanna Schoppert (CADC II, QMHA I, PGS)

Originally from Las Vegas, Deanna moved to Portland in the early 1990s. After experiencing addiction herself, she entered recovery in 2004 and discovered a passion for helping others on their own recovery journeys.

Deanna began working in the recovery field in 2006 and earned her associate degree in Addiction Studies from Portland Community College in 2012. With nearly two decades of experience, she has specialized in culturally specific treatment, medication-assisted treatment, and supporting LGBTQ2+ youth.

Her work also includes supporting families in recovery, facilitating parenting groups, addressing grief and loss, and helping individuals heal from past trauma through Wellbriety and Inner Child Work.

What drives Deanna most is helping others find freedom from drugs and alcohol, meeting each person where they are, regardless of where they are in their recovery journey.

We’re grateful to have her experience, compassion, and dedication on the Bridge of Hope team!

A little fall fun at the pumpkin patch! 🎃

Yesterday, Bridge of Hope staff, counselors, and clients enjoyed an outing to the Sauvie Island pumpkin patch, complete with hayrides, pumpkin picking, and time spent together outside of our usual routines.

Outings like these are a great opportunity to build connections, make memories, and enjoy the simple moments together.

Meet Janae, one of our mentors at Bridge of Hope!

Outside of work, Janae enjoys spending time with her husband and son, hiking, listening to music, watching true crime documentaries, writing, and pretty much anything that gets her outdoors.

Recovery is also an important part of her life. Janae is committed to staying active in her own recovery while helping others find their way forward in theirs.

We’re grateful to have her as part of the Bridge of Hope team and the support she brings to our community.

Taking the first step toward treatment can feel overwhelming. Our admissions team is here to make it simpler.

Emily, our Director of Outreach and Admissions, helps individuals and families navigate the process, answer questions, and understand what support may be the right fit.

When you reach out to Bridge of Hope, we move quickly. We’ll connect with you to learn more about your needs, schedule a brief phone screening, and help determine next steps. In many cases, we can follow up the same day, with treatment beginning soon after an in-person assessment.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you call. That’s what our admissions team is here for. 💙
