We are thrilled to welcome to the HER Expert Directory.

Annah Elizabeth is a healing specialist and creator of The Five Facets® Philosophy on Healing, a pioneering framework exploring the intersection of healing, identity, and human potential—and helping people live their best lives, even in the face of adversity. Grounded in her Heal It Your Way™ philosophy, Annah’s work recognizes that healing, identity, life transitions, and human potential are deeply individual experiences—not one-size-fits-all journeys.

Here's our Fun Q&A session w/ Annah Elizabeth:

✴️What do you do for fun?
Well, when I'm not having fun doing the work I love, I have fun dancing like no one is watching, and if they are--I hope they're enjoying themselves. You never know where I'll spontaneously break out into some sort of random dance moves. Theater and concerts of all types are also favorite fun things to do.

✴️All time favorite book?
In a library bordering on 1,000 books across a range of genres, I have many favorites for different reasons. But, if I MUST choose 1, it has to be The Devil in the White City. Why? Because this book made me fall in love with history (I literally hated history before reading it), and the author's approach to writing it is pure genius.

✴️What are you watching or listening to right now?
TV: I rarely watch, but when I do, a feel-good rom-com is usually in the mix. And I recently binge-watched the second season of Running Point starring Kate Hudson. Movie: Soul on Fire, the true story of John O'Leary! Podcast: Lewis Howes' School of Greatness; Simon Sinek's A Bit of Optimism, and Lisa Bilyeu's Women of Impact are some of my favorite go-tos.

✴️ Best vacation you've ever been on and why?
Old Orchard Beach, Maine. My children were ages 4-9 and we went camping. In tents. But we'd hauled along a small refrigerator and our grill. And for one of the few times in life, we hadn't overscheduled anything. The time we spent wandering around and wondering about the beautiful landscape around us was glorious.

✴️What is something most people don't know about you?
I once jumped out of a perfectly good airplane. With an expert jumper on my back and a parachute over my head.

If the end of the school year feels surprisingly stressful, you're not imagining it.

While everyone talks about summer excitement, many moms are quietly carrying the weight of schedule changes, childcare plans, disrupted routines, and the emotional shift that comes with closing one season and entering another.

The truth is: transitions are hard.

Not because you're doing anything wrong—but because change requires adjustment.

As you move into summer, remember:

You don't need to attend every event.
You don't need to create a picture-perfect summer.
You don't need to carry it all alone.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is slow down, simplify, and focus on connection over productivity.

Save this reminder for when the end-of-year chaos starts creeping in.

Here's our Fun Q&A session w/ Nasim Javan:

✴️What do you do for fun?
I enjoy spending time with my kids, love to solo travel, meet people, and thrive on building community wherever I go. I also play competitive tennis, dance salsa and bachata, and enjoy reading and spending time by the water.

✴️All time favorite book?
Daring Greatly by Brené Brown. The way she talks about vulnerability and shame, the fears of not doing enough or being enough, and how to shift and challenge these views in order to show up authentically was a great read. Fair Play by Eve Rodsky is another great read for moms that completely reframes how we think about the mental load, and how to follow a framework to give yourself permission to stop being the person who absorbs everything.

✴️What are you watching or listening to right now?
I honestly don't watch a lot of tv, and read a lot more in my free time, but I did recently watch Ginny and Georgia which was a guilty pleasure. I also just finished reading Honest Motherhood by Libby Ward- a powerful personal story about childhood trauma, reparenting yourself in motherhood, and the unrealistic myths society puts on being the 'perfect mom' or doing motherhood 'the right way.' My current podcasts are Motherkind with Zoe Blaskey, Tell Me I'm a Good Mom with Lo Bosworth Natale, and Just Us Girls, because I'm a big Paige Connell fan and love her content around the mental load.

✴️ Best vacation you've ever been on and why?
Two answers. Best trip with my kids was the Dominican Republic- watching the magic in their eyes at the beach, the pool, the shows, and just being together with close friends and family was everything. Best solo trip was Puerto Rico for my birthday. I played tennis, spent time at the pool and beach, went salsa dancing, and spent an entire day at a bathhouse- a full reset and a chance to breathe and recharge outside of motherhood.

✴️What is something most people don't know about you?
Despite working remotely, I live my entire life outdoors whenever the weather allows. My kids and I are always on some kind of adventure; playgrounds, parks, swimming, bike rides, tennis, and listening to outdoor live music. My neighbors probably wonder if I even live there. We roll in late, running on no energy, but full of memories. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Women are overwhelmed with wellness advice.

Move more. Sleep better. Reduce stress. Eat healthier.

But the problem usually isn’t knowledge.
It’s trying to do too much while already running on empty.

This is why the “2% Shift” matters.

Not because it’s dramatic—but because it’s doable.

Twenty-eight intentional minutes a day can begin changing:
your energy,
your stress response,
your consistency,
and your relationship with yourself.

The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s reliability.

Small actions repeated consistently create the strongest kind of change.

Save this post and read the full article by HER Expert Sarah Parise, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Perinatal Wellness Specialist, and Strength, Energy & Self-Care Coach for Moms, for the days you feel behind.

And remember: your wellness does not have to begin with extremes.
