A few weeks ago, I mentioned that a 1970s Classic Mini Cooper would be my dream car. Well, I got the opportunity to drive one for a week, and it was so much fun!

I loved the:
- Massaging Chair!!!
- Super easy to drive, sporty, felt like a go-kart
- Definite style points
- The display is unlike any other car, not just easy to use, but visually appealing.
- The controls and buttons are very intuitive.
- Everyone at the bagel store smiled when they saw me driving it.
- I’m 6’ tall, and I fit very comfortably
- Blasting music, dancing and zipping through traffic

Cons:
- Not great for transporting lumbar
- Could really only fit 1-1/2 kids in the trunk, so I’d probably have to chop one of my kids in half.

Overall impression of the 2 Door JCW Mini Cooper
- This car isn’t for everyone, but it is for people who want to smile when getting into their car.

This lovely lovely patient had a little bit of extra skin on her upper lids and some fat pouching out on her lower lids. I did an Upper Lid Blepharoplasty to remove the excess skin on her uppers and removed the bulging fat on her lower lids (Transconjunctival Lower Lid Bleph). I also supplemented it with a conservative amount of Fat Grafting to maintain a youthful, full midface and tear trough. She looks amazing, and most importantly, feels great! It was so much fun operating on her eyelids and taking care of her postop. For me, the best part was chatting with her afterwards and hearing how great she felt about her eyes.

😍 Treatment: Upper & Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty (for hooded, heavy upper eyelids and bags under the eyes)⁠ and Fat Grafting to Tear Trough and Midface
🤩 Goal: Look like yourself, look amazing, feel amazing!
🤑 Cost: $5,750-$8,000 for upper lids, and $6,850 to $9,500 for Lower lids. When doing both - the range is between $11,300 to $16,000. Fat Grafting $3-5k. We accept PatientFi and Care Credit Financing.⁠
😜 Downtime: 2 weeks for bruising, 6 weeks for swelling. I like to over-estimate the downtime, in case patients have a wedding or TV appearance, so I usually say 8 weeks of swelling for lower lids. You can hide most things with make-up 2 weeks after the procedure.
🥴 Anesthesia: Uppers are almost always done with local numbing medication in the office. Lowers need twilight sedation.

New Jersey - can’t eat lettuce and can’t breathe. The struggle is real.

Here’s my advice, from a doctor who has allergies and itchy eyes.

1. Stay Indoors
2. In your car, use the recirculation mode
3. Get a “HEPA Filter” on amazon - I like the smaller ones, because they are quieter
4. Now is a good time to change the filter on your air conditioner. Get a MERV 13 or higher for the small Canada fire particles.
5. Avoid contact lenses, because they trap the smoke. Or take them out after you’ve been outside
6. Change your clothes when you get inside
7. Wash face and eyes with cold water, especially before bed
8. Preservative Free Artificial Tears. Systane or Refresh
9. Cold compresses will make you feel better.
10. Pataday 0.2% - use 1 or 2x/day. Can put it in your eyes or on your eyelids. Anything that is itching or burning!
11. AVOID Clear Eyes and Visine, unless you are drunk or high
12. Run for the hills!

Putting Drops in your kid’s eyes doesn’t have to be painful. My kids were suffering from all the schmutz in the air from the canadian fires. A few drops of Pataday did the trick and they feel great.

Couple tips.
- have your kid lie flat on the floor. Gravity will help! If their head is on a pillow, it makes it harder to get in.
- you only need to get a fraction of the drop in. So just put a drop or two in the inside corner, have them open their eyes and it will seep in. For Pataday
- i like rubbing it on the skin around the eyes.
- a kiss on the nose also makes kids feel better!

I Love my job!

Happy July 4th! I love our country, but I hate seeing traumatic firework injuries.

As an oculoplastic surgeon, I manage traumatic injuries around the eye, and I’ve seen some terrible stuff.

I’ve taken out eye balls that were badly damaged and managed burns on the face.

So, I urge everyone to avoid fireworks - but if you’re around them - please be careful!

I operate on patients with eyelash extensions who are trying to hide extra skin or droopy eyelids. Rather than cover I the problem, you can fix it once and for all.

I did an upper and lower lid bleph and dissolved some fillers that had previously been injected into her cheeks by another provider.
