We spoke with a few nurses about why they love working here at Friendship. Licensed Practical Nurse Morgan, who’s worked here for almost 4 years, says she loves that she can give back to people who served our community.

Kids Square continues to bring joy and cheer to our residents at Friendship Retirement Community. Kids Square dropped off these beautiful flowers and drawings for our residents at Friendship South in June, and the artwork put huge smiles on everyone's faces.
We have a partnership with Kids Square where families create artwork or write letters for our seniors here at Friendship. These heartfelt creations can be dropped into the Friendship mailbox beside the Kids Square Art Table, and Kids Square will deliver them to Friendship.
We are honored to bring joy to our residents!

With Southwest Virginia experiencing a heatwave today through the weekend, it’s important for you to stay safe. Make sure to drink plenty of water, stay inside, and wear loose and lightweight clothing. If you do go outside, stay in the shade, take breaks, and go out during the coolest parts of the day or evening. Stay safe!

Friendship Retirement had the privilege of dedicating the Jane Morgan Harris Daylily Garden at Richfield Living this week.

In 1934, after assisting a mother give birth in an abandoned gas station, Mrs. Harris recognized the lack of accessible healthcare for women and families of limited means. She believed that everyone deserved care and set out to establish a facility in a farmhouse on what would later become Richfield Living. She was a true pioneer in healthcare and her legacy continues to inspire our mission today. It was a beautiful privilege to name this garden after her.

Friendship Retirement is excited to announce its first Seniors for Seniors Scholarship winners! For the first time, high school seniors were selected from our seniors here at Friendship Retirement for scholarships they’ll use in college in the fall. We couldn’t be more proud. These students showed leadership, service, and character. All true values here at Friendship.
