One final call bell for Marie! After an incredible career that began in 1987, Highland is celebrating the retirement of Marie Hoover! From bedside nursing to leadership roles, Marie has made a lasting impact on patients, staff, and the hospital. Known for her calm presence in any situation, she has been a trusted leader and teammate for nearly 40 years. While retirement will include plenty of travel, we're happy that Marie will still be part of the Admitting team in a per-diem role. Congratulations, Marie, and thank you for all you've done! 💙

Highland extends its appreciation and gratitude to our EMS partners who serve our community and work alongside our Emergency Department team 24/7. 🚑💙 As a small thank-you, ED staff shared refreshments with first responders last week to recognize the critical care and compassion they provide long before patients arrive at our doors. Although her official retirement will be at the end of June, we were honored to celebrate her remarkable career today with colleagues and friends. A respected leader and champion of quality, Dr. Fiscella has played a crucial role in advancing laboratory medicine and patient care. Her legacy includes exceptional clinical leadership and meaningful support for future healthcare professionals through the Fiscella Employee Educational Fund.
