This is wonderful news. Expecting parents to be able to keep their kids and teens away from highly addictive and ever present screens is absolutely unfair. Social Media companies have a right to make a product, but they do not have the right to make products that are unsafe. We cut adult alcoholics off at the bars. Social Media companies have a responsibility to not profit while contributing to mental illness and even su***de in young people.
To follow the law, social media companies must figure out which users are under 16, and turn off “addictive” features.
