This Día de los Mu***os, we pause to honor and remember the incredible Homebridge Inc. clients and community members who are no longer with us.

In caregiving, the people we support become more than clients - they become part of our extended family. Though we deeply miss their presence, their stories, wisdom, and spirit remain with us and continue to touch our lives every day.

To honor their lives and celebrate the memories they leave behind, our team created a traditional Día de los Mu***os altar (ofrenda) at our San Francisco office. We photographed it early to respect the privacy of our clients and their families. Since then, the ofrenda has grown to include photographs and cherished memories of our Homebridge community, along with photos shared by staff honoring their own family members and friends who have passed.

As we celebrate and remember those who came before us, we invite you to join us in keeping their memories alive - today and every day.

Forever remembered. Always part of our family.

Training isn’t just about building skills; it is a fundamental part of building a stronger care system - because the future of care depends on the people who provide it.

That’s one of the ideas behind the Care Collaborative Training initiative, delivered in partnership with SF IHSS Public Authority and Homebridge Inc., to provide paid technical and skills training to Providers in San Francisco.

Today, we’re celebrating the first cohort, who recently completed the program, and sharing our excitement to continue that work with our next cohort, which started this week.

Every caregiver has a story. And sometimes, the moments that define that story happen when you least expect them.

For Dariana, one of those moments came when she encountered someone experiencing an overdose in her community and was able to use the Narcan skills she learned through STEPs III.

For Deshando, nearly a decade in caregiving has taken him through different roles, experiences, and challenges, shaping the caregiver and mentor he is today.

Last week, we were pleased to welcome Mike Levine, Executive Director of the San Francisco Department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing, to the Ambassador Hotel - one of Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation's Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) sites.

partners with at two PSH sites to provide direct care, care management, case management, and supplemental services focused on health, well-being, and housing retention.

Mike toured the site and met with residents and Homebridge clients, Mason and Enrique, who shared their experiences, what has been helpful to them, and what additional resources and opportunities could support their well-being and connection to community.

We’re grateful to Mike for taking the time to visit, listen, and learn alongside residents and the teams who support them.

Most of all, we appreciate Mason and Enrique for sharing their perspectives and helping us continue to learn from the people at the heart of this work.

We had a great time joining last week’s National Night Out on Ellis Street. A big thank you to SFPD Tenderloin Station for having us. Homebridge Inc. is expanding into Alameda County through a new partnership with Alameda Alliance for Health – marking Homebridge’s first direct care expansion outside of San Francisco.
