Here's how you stay hydrated even when you barely have time to breathe.
Between work, school runs, errands, outdoor activities, social plans, and everything in between drinking enough water is the first thing to slip when the pace picks up. And in summer heat, that is exactly when it matters most.
Here is how to stay properly hydrated even on your most packed summer days:
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄:
Fill your bottles before you go to bed. Fill a large jug for the kitchen. If you have a home filtration system your Alka75, AlkaPlatinum, or AlkaWay Ultra Stream, running overnight means your morning starts with clean, fresh water already waiting. If you are a delivery subscriber, Thursday arrives stocked and ready. Zero morning decision required.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆:
Drink 500ml before you leave the house. Non-negotiable. This is your baseline. Everything else builds on it. If you miss this window, you are already behind on a hot day and playing catch-up all morning.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐓𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐃𝐀𝐘:
Carry at least one litre in a bottle that goes with you everywhere. Drink on public transport. Drink between meetings. Drink while you work. Set a phone reminder if you need to "drink water" is a completely valid calendar event and do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇:
Order water with every meal when eating out, and drink it before and during food, not just after. Your digestion will be better, your post-lunch energy will be higher, and you will naturally eat more mindfully.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐎𝐍:
The 2–4pm window is when dehydration peaks for most people. This is also when cravings for sugar and caffeine spike often because your body is actually asking for water. Before you reach for a snack or coffee, drink a full glass of water and wait 10 minutes.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆:
End the day with a large glass of water 30 minutes before bed. Your body repairs overnight give it the clean water it needs to do that work properly.
Summer does not have to mean dehydrated. It just means being intentional.
