❤️ The Numbers Don't Lie: Cardiac Rehab Saves Lives ❤️

Surviving a heart attack is only the first step in recovery. Research shows that patients who participate in cardiac rehabilitation can reduce their risk of death from heart disease by up to 26% and lower their risk of future hospitalizations by nearly 20%.

Yet despite these proven benefits, fewer than 1 in 3 eligible heart attack patients enroll in a cardiac rehab program.

Cardiac rehab combines supervised exercise, heart-healthy education, medication management, and lifestyle coaching to help patients regain strength, improve confidence, and reduce the risk of another cardiac event.

A heart attack changes your life—but it doesn't have to define it.
Whether your heart attack happened near by or across the country, HMC can help!

🚨 Don't Ignore the Signs of a UTI 🚨

A urinary tract infection (UTI) may seem like a minor inconvenience, but left untreated, it can lead to more serious health complications—including kidney infections and long-term urinary problems.

Common symptoms of a UTI include:
✔️ A burning sensation when urinating
✔️ Frequent or urgent need to urinate
✔️ Cloudy, dark, or strong-smelling urine
✔️ Pelvic pain or pressure
✔️ Blood in the urine
✔️ Fever or chills (which may indicate a more serious infection)

Many people try to "wait it out," but delaying treatment can allow the infection to spread and become more difficult to treat.

If you're experiencing symptoms, don't suffer in silence. Early diagnosis and treatment can help relieve discomfort, prevent complications, and get you back to feeling your best.

Your urinary health matters. If something doesn't feel right, call Dr. Baldwin's Office.

🌟 CELEBRATING SERVICE, MEMORIES & NEW BEGINNINGS! 🌟

The HMC Auxiliary recently gathered for its annual Volunteer Week Luncheon, where officers were elected, friendships were celebrated, and stories were shared that reminded us just how special this group truly is. A highlight of the day was hearing from Ms. Martha, HMC Auxiliary Historian, who reflected on the early days of the Auxiliary when she was one of only four volunteers helping lay the foundation for what has become an incredible legacy of service. ❤️

Now, the HMC Auxiliary is looking for new members to continue that legacy! If you are 55 years of age or older, willing to complete a thorough background check, and interested in volunteering in the HMC Gift Shop or other areas throughout Hardin Medical Center, we would love to talk with you.

Applications may be picked up at the HMC Gift Shop in the front lobby of HMC, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Join a group that gives back, builds friendships, and makes a difference every day.
