The original Feelings Wheel, created by psychologist Gloria Willcox in 1982, was designed to help people identify, understand, and express their emotions. By putting words to what we're experiencing, we can better process difficult feelings, improve emotional awareness, and strengthen our overall mental health.
The Feelings Wheel is a valuable tool for individuals of all ages and is frequently used in therapy to build emotional intelligence and develop healthier ways of communicating. It is also a powerful resource in couples and marriage counseling, helping partners move beyond "I'm fine" or "I'm upset" to communicate the deeper emotions that drive conflict, connection, and understanding.
If you'd like support learning to identify your emotions, improve communication, or strengthen your relationships, we're here to help.

Just another Murray Monday at Renewed Stories!

Murray and his friend are here to remind us that connection doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes the best therapy is a wagging tail, a familiar face, and a little time spent together.

The goal of parenting a teenager isn’t to eliminate conflict or make every day easy. It’s to remain connected through the inevitable ups and downs of adolescence.

Your teenager doesn’t need a perfect parent. They need a parent who is willing to stay engaged, remain curious, repair after conflict, and continue showing up with love.

Those small moments of connection, repeated over time, often become the foundation for a strong relationship that lasts well into adulthood.

Practical guidance from Jessica Kaluza, LMHC, on repairing disagreements, leading with curiosity, and staying connected with your teenager.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to have questions before scheduling your first appointment.
✨ What happens in the first session?
✨ How do I know if therapy is right for me?
✨ What if I don't know what to talk about?
✨ How long does therapy last?
In this short video, we answer some of the questions we hear most often from new clients. Our hope is that it helps take away some of the uncertainty and makes the process feel a little more approachable.
Whether you're considering therapy for yourself, your relationship, or your family, you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes the hardest part is simply taking the first step.
If you've been thinking about starting therapy, we would love to help. Feel free to reach out with questions or to schedule a consultation.

Healing takes time, but couples can build a relationship that is more honest, secure, and resilient than before.

Trust can be rebuilt. Spokane therapist Jessica Kaluza shares 5 steps to rebuild trust in a relationship, from honest conversations to consistent action.

Happy Murray Monday Montana Edition! Grass. Water. Open sky. Murray out here healing in real time.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your mental health is change the view. New scenery, fresh air, and a little adventure can shift something in you that words alone can’t reach.

We hope your summer has a “Montana” moment in it. You deserve it. 🏔️🌊🐾

Happy Murray Monday! 🐾🇺🇸 Hope your holiday weekend was everything
Murray certainly dressed for the occasion. 🎆

This week Murray taught us something important. He stood outside the vet looking apprehensive, walked in anyway, did the hard thing, and came out the other side with a treat and a wagging tail.

Asking for help can feel scary. Showing up for yourself takes courage. But you don’t have to be fearless to take the first step you just have to take it.

We’re proud of you, Murray. 🐾🌿
